Castillo San Felipe del Morro
A massive 16th-century Spanish fortress — six levels of fortification rising 42 meters above the Atlantic Ocean at the tip of Old San Juan's headland. Castillo De San Cristobal
The largest Spanish fortification in the Americas — a sprawling defensive complex of tunnels, moats, and outworks covering 27 acres on the eastern approach to Old San Juan. Built to repel land-based attacks, San Cristóbal features a network of underground passages, the Devil's Sentry Box perched on a cliff, and panoramic views stretching along the Atlantic coastline.
