Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple
Fiji is considered to be a melting pot of cultures and religions. One impressive example of this is at the Sivu Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Nadi Town. The colourful exterior of the temple is an amazing photo opportunity with intricate sculptural details. Once inside, you will see many pictorial displays of Hindu lords and goddesses.

The 5 hour tour was very enjoyable. Our guide Rakesh was very friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. He took us to the temple, it is a beautiful temple. There is no entry fee to the temple. We wanted to have lunch in our liking restaurant, Rakesh took us there and food was very delicious. We enjoyed the sightseeing tour very much. We highly recommend this tour and tour guide Rakesh.

Our tour guide, Rakish, told us several times about being the best tour guide. He made excellent arguments about TripAdvisor portraying falsely that temple entry fees are covered… this is sightseeing only, after all. The answers to his quiz are as follows. 1500 BC; sole from shoe; Capt Cook; Wayne Newton; cannabilism; and Americans are awesome. Never ask a question he’s already answered and you will be spared. Other than that, enjoy! Good luck! Be well and keep your shoes safe!

Before this tour began, we received an e-mail from the local operator inquiring if we would mind if they added 3 people to the trip (for a total of 5). We happily agreed, cognizant of the fact that the tour was operated by a local small business still trying to recover from the Covid shutdown. The addition of 3 people was easily accommodated in the vehicle and did not adversely impact our experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour. Our guide / driver (the owner of the local company) was obviously proud of his homeland and was eager to share its history with us, even as he expertly avoided the majority of the ever-present potholes in the roads.

All fees are NOT included. We had to pay to see the temple. WiFi is NOT included. He said there was WiFi at the so called resort. Dirty beach. I ordered a simple grilled cheese which was on the menu and 1 and 1/2 hours later came but was time to leave. He was very arrogant and told us nothing about Fiji but cannibalism and when first people arrived. Fiji has a wonderful history but cannibalism certainly isn’t the highlight. He proceeded to test our memory of what he talked about throughout the drive even scolded us if we had the wrong answer He said the tour was a drive by tour not a stopping tour. I’ve had Viator my entire vacation and this tour rates on the bottom. I do NOT recommend this tour.
