This is not a sumo comedy show with fake wrestlers, but a passionate training session by real, active sumo wrestlers.
Sumo is a Japanese national sport. It is very sacred and most powerful. Let's go to see the Sumo training at a stable!
It is a valuable experience to be able to see serious training right in front of you and can feel the breath and heat up close, which you can't feel in a big game. What is happening is we will provide live commentary using our original documents!
You can see it closer than the matches and you will feel the sound of the fight and the passion of the wrestlers.
After training, you can take photos with wrestlers.
Sumo wrestling matches are held far away many times a year. In addition, there are other training camps, so the time I'm in Tokyo is less. Date requests are not accepted.
It is not easy to visit even for Japanese people. Please join us for this experience!

This is the Japanese style, where you sit directly on cushions on the floor instead of on chairs. Please be careful if you have bad knees or back, Pregnant women.
Even children over the age of 6 who cannot sit still are not allowed to participate.
What To Expect
We will meet at the station and arrive at the sumo stable in 10min on foot. Watch the practice for about an hour and a half to 2hours. This is a sacred national sport, so there are many things to be aware of. Please read carefully. We leave on time. We can't wait for late guests. If you have a cold or infectious disease on the day, please cancel your participation. You cannot eat or drink in the stable. We basically don't talk during the tour. Please set your cell phone to silent mode. You can take photos, please install a silent camera on your smartphone. You might be able to take a photo with wrestlers after the event. Avoid revealing clothing. Children must be 6 years old or older to participate. If these are not followed, you will be asked to go outside temporarily. The program consists of ① stretching and strength training, ② basic training, ③ match-style training, and ④ take photos. Guests who arrive at 7:45 will experience the entire program. The tour time from 60-120min. Guests who arrive at 8:20 will generally start with ②. The tour time from 30-90min.

5.00I got up really early in the morning but it was really worth it. Super interesting to see a sumo workout up close. Despite their body weight, the wrestlers are agile, fit athletes. Be prepared to sit at least a couple of hours on a pillow on the floor. Afterwards you could take pictures with some of the wrestlers but we skipped that part.

4.00Take note that the meeting place is not the JR station and the stable is not near the Kokugikan. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the stable from the meeting station. The end time of the experience (10am for us) did not include time for photos or to walk back to the meeting point, so factor an extra 20-25 minutes for that. Watching the training was interesting. There is no speaking during the training, so if you have a question you write/type is out and Alisa will write a response on her phone. You are sitting on zabuton on the floor, and there is no tiers so you may not be able to see from sitting. The two people over 65 with me were able to ask for stools, but there are no chairs with backs. The sumo themselves were very nice. Happy to take photos and pose with you. I enjoyed the experience.

5.00Alisa get us early there and we got to sit in front. I loved it. It is literally once in a lifetime opportunity, where else can you watch Sumo apart from Japan. we got front seats and it was so interesting to see this traditional martial arts. Morning training lasted 2.30 hours, so make sure you have some breakfast and toilet beforehand

The other tour guests were just watching, but Alisa told us about the training contents and secrets each time, so it was very easy to understand. Anyway, it's an unforgettable memory.
