An excellent tour thanks to our guide Simone. He is very knowledgeable & shared many interesting facts, as well as answered our numerous questions, not just about each place on the tour, but related to any subject we wanted to talk about. Simone provided a more accurate picture of true everyday life in Rome, along with the history & culture. He is very personable with a great sense of humor, too. Simone agreed to pick us up at our hotel for a little extra, which we much appreciated. It was so nice and comfortable to tour in a private car opposed to a crowded bus full of strangers. He even provided fresh pastry, chocolates and drinks, plus took us to places of interest not even listed on the itinerary. You will not be disappointed if you tour with Simone. Thanks for a fabulous day!

Had a really enjoyable day out with Simone. He was knowledgeable and fun to be with. It's a great way to get to Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa and the detour to walk on the Appian Way and see the 'Quo Vadis' church of Santa Maria in Palmis was a particular highlight for me.

Simone was great. I had originally booked a solo trip but a friend was able to join at the last minute and Simone was very accommodating. I had not realized that Simone was not able to enter the grounds and guide us as they are restricted positions. However, it all worked out fine and my friend and I appreciated being able to wander to look at what appealed most to us. Both villas are amazing and it is so much easier to visit with a driver who knows where he is going and can deal with parking.

Simone was quite the unexpected pleasure for our tour to Tivoli, polite professional knowledgeable, the best. His vehicle was clean and comfortable, and he provided water and soft drinks. We have done many tours over many years, he’s a cut above them all.

Simone made our day extremely comfortable. He treated us like we were old friends. It felt like he was a friend sharing his country and customs. It was a day to remember with visits to Hadrians Village and Villa D’Este- both magnificent examples of early Roman life. We highly recommend a day with Simone.

We were so happy we discovered Scoot around Rome, which despite the scooter-evoking name, also offers many car trips to sites outside of Rome in addition to scooter tours around Rome. Owner/driver Simone—who timely replied to all of our communications, and provided confirmations and information before and during our trip—took us to Florence, the Appian Way/Viaducts/Castel Gandolfo area, Tivoli and Umbria, and transferred us to our cruise in Civitavecchia. He was flexible about adapting his recommended itineraries, and he was always on time and 100 percent reliable. His expert ability to navigate challenging traffic inside and outside Rome continually impressed us. We also were entertained by Italian driving culture as he emoted about other drivers, usually in Italian, but occasionally in English, such as the time he said that a driver who unnecessarily delayed moving forward when the light changed to green near a church was “waiting for an angel to help her cross the street.” Parking can be challenging and expensive for drivers in Rome and Florence, so you need to make sure you always make the agreed-on meetup time at the start of and end of, and throughout, your tours. Each day, once we arrived at our day-trip destination, Simone gave us a cellphone containing his Italian number so that we could reach him, provided information on things to see, including background information, and restaurant recommendations for lunch, and even took some photos of us. We decided to enjoy sit-down lunches in the Castel Gandolfo area and Tivoli, and the restaurants Simone recommended and booked for us were incredible, with outside tables, great views and great food. We feel fortunate that we discovered Simone for our tours in the Rome area, and would be sure to choose him if/when we’re in Rome in the future.

Villa Adriana & Villa d'Este. A very educational and good experience. We were extremely pleased with our driver/guide, Simone. He is very energetic and knowledgeable, speaks English fluently. He gave that extra bit which really elevates service. I would confident recommend him to my close friends,

We had a blast travel experience with Scoot around Rome, Simone is a great, well experienced and knowledgeable travel planner, he not only helped us to arrange our trip details, also a driver and tour guide to us, this was our first family trip with two teenagers in Italy, with Simone’s help, we were able to see the beautiful scenery and many historical sites, the trip is magic, will definitely come back with Simone other trips! Highly recommended!
