• Fun afternoon biking around vineyards

  We rented e-bikes from Rockvelo to bike around the wine region for an afternoon. The bikes were great and the route Jana suggested took us by the river (for a quick dip in a hot summer afternoon), vineyards, and small villages. Jana and Alex were great - when we told them we'd like to try some local wine, they even called a few wineries we would pass by to check if they were open and find out exactly where they should send us. We lots track of time and arrived a bit late to return the bikes, and Alex and Jana were very chill about it. We had a chat after dropping the bikes off and they even gave us directions for a hike we wanted to do the next day, and recommended an amazing restaurant at our next stop. I highly recommend RockVelo! :)

  We spent a glorious day e-biking in the Vilpava Valley. The bikes are beautiful! The routes are a perfect combination of country roads, gravel- and we found a few mountain bike trails (not on our route). RockVelo offers a variety of routes and you can easily download them onto your phone for a self-guided loop. We stopped for a cool drink in the beautiful town of Stanjel- on top of a big hill that we were able to climb with smiles on our faces.

  This was the most charming bike rental spot. Alex was particularly warm, welcoming and helpful. You got the impression that nothing was too much to ask and he had an excellent manner with the children. He made sure we had everything we needed before we left and gave great advice using the Komoot app. The kids absolutely loved the ease of the ride on a hot day and our son said, “the only problem was that you leave wondering how you can convince your parents to buy you an e-bike!” We would highly recommend RockVelo.   Alex immediately got us in the mood by greeting us very friendly and energetic. After this, he explained everything about the bikes very carefully. We were with a group of 8 people, and everybody got a super, perfectly fitting E-bike. We had a lot of fun during the ride, and enjoyed the incredible sights in de Slovenian mountains. This will definitly be a memory for our family forever. Thanks a lot Alex, keep doing what you do!

  As not very experienced mountain bikers, we embarked on an adventure with RockVelo ebikes. Very nice trip with quite a bit of tough climbing here and there, possibly due to not following the route very accurately. Halfway through the trip the weakest link in my chain gave up. After a phone call with Alex I was able to enter the half an hour with a new steel horse to complete the journey. A warm welcome from Alex and his partner upon arrival. Despite the bad luck, an unforgettable adventure, highly recommended and worth 4.99 stars 🤩! Stefaan & Valerie

  My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our cycling trip through the beautiful nature of the Vipava Valley, guided by the extremely friendly and professional business owner Alex, who directed us to the hidden corners of the area. The e-bikes were brand new and flawless. This was my second time visiting the area and renting the e-bikes from RockVelo (was there 5y ago) and will gladly come back 🚴🏻‍♀️ I highly recommend!

  We rented 2 e-bikes from RockVelo. Alex dropped the bikes off at our hotel with a backpack, toolkit and bike locks. He also recommended an app with a customised route to follow. The e-bikes are top quality and we had a brilliant day exploring the vineyards & soca river. Highly recommended!!

  We rented two e-MTBs. The bikes were clean, well-maintained and fully charged. The owner helped us deciding which route to take. He suggested us to do the 60k route, which was amazing. The route has some climbs and some descents, which were all doable with the bikes.

  A fantastic day of independent cycling using these brilliant E bikes. They were brand new and great quality. Alex delivered them to our hotel and even brought a small rucksack for us to use. Locks and maps were provided too but Alex also showed us a very good app which helped us to navigate the area successfully on our own. He was very friendly and full of tips and advice as well as giving thorough instructions on how to use the bikes (it’s very easy!). The Vipava valley is stunning and virtually car free. We were there in July and the whole area was bursting with fruit trees, vines, sunflowers and summer vegetables. What a place! Thank you Rockvelo 😊

  Very friendly and spontaneous people when ordering. Thinking along with routes and destinations. And when the bike tire broke, a whatsapp and an hour later everything fixed. It could be even faster, but we were in no hurry because we tasted local wines in the meantime, and could leave the bikes. Great!
