We had an amazing food tour with Robin with Secret Food Tours. She was warm, professional and had a great sense of humor. She kept us laughing and the restaurants chosen were excellent. She was great at taking care of all of us and made sure we had what we needed. I highly recommend this tour, but you must request Robin. She is a gem and knew her stuff. So helpful with restaurant recommendations too!

The food was excellent (Virginia's was our favorite), and Elizabeth, our guide, did such a wonderful job of providing the history of the various foods, locations, and Charleston in general! She was relaxed, personable, and extremely knowledgeable! We loved our food tour experience!

The tour guide, Nathan, was great. He provided good background history of the area and food. The food choices were underwhelming. For desert we stood at the Market next to shoppers and received broken up cookie samples with other passers bys. We also stood at a candy shop and had one small piece of chocolate. Both deserts were tasty but underwhelming giving the tour cost and standing while sampling the goodies wasn’t a great experience. At the first restaurant the temperature was around 90 degrees and we were seated outside.

Nathan was incredibly knowledgeable on the history of Charleston, the food and provided so many extra fun facts and stories! He never shied away from how slavery connected to all these things but did it in such a respectful and honest way. He brought connections to as many cultures as possible and really had us understand how Charleston’s food was influenced by a number of cultures and people. We learned sooo much from him while trying all the delicious food. Our favorites were the Coca-Cola Braised Short Rib and the She Crab Soup! We definitely recommend this tour!

We really enjoyed the French Quarter Foodie Experience! Our Saturday tour guide, Perry, was outstanding—very knowledgeable, engaging, and full of interesting history and local insight about the French Quarter. The tour offered a great balance of food and culture, and we appreciated the nice mix of dining styles, with both sit-down and counter-service stops. It gave us the chance to experience a variety of eateries and food styles rather than just one type of experience. Everything felt well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable. The food was delicious, portions were satisfying, and we left feeling like we had truly experienced the flavor and character of the French Quarter. Highly recommend for both visitors and locals looking for a fun foodie experience

He is very personable, knowledgeable and professional. A delightful way of spending a few hours and getting immersed in the vibe and culture of Charleston.
