Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather for the tour (!), you will be given the option of an alternative date or a full refund.

All participants should have a confident level of fitness and understand that this tour is not an easy stroll of leisure walking, at some point we will need to jump and walk on the rocks, which requires some balancing skills. The tour guide is there to assist, but overall self-confidence and some fitness is required.
• Good shoes are essential! Ideally a pair of trekking shoes and water shoes, as we will walk on land/rocks and enter water as well. Please no flip flops! • A minimum of 1.5L drinking water (per person) is essential! Light lunch which is mostly fruits will be provided. • Please go on a tour light - towel, bathing suit/bikini, camera, sunscreen, mosquito repellent (if needed).
Cruise liner clients will be refunded 50% cost, if cancelled withing 24 hours of the starting time, in case of ship's unability to dock at the port of La Digue
Clients need to be either on La Digue or Praslin. Clients who are staying on Mahe, please refrain from booking this tour, as it will not be enough time for you to travel to La Digue and be on time for the tour.
What To Expect
Grand Anse
After we meet by the helicopter pad, we will have transport taking us to Grand Anse where we will start the actual walk towards Anse Marron beach.
Spiagge di Anse Marron
Approximately in the middle of our walk we will reach Anse Marron beach which consists of a more open, bigger stretch of sand and a smaller beach with the access to a lagoon protected with the rocks. There you will be served light lunch and will have about 1-1.5 hours (depending on the tide schedule) of relaxing time.

3.00I just want to confirm the very poor organization... After several confirmations via WhatsApp that everything was okay, the tour was canceled that morning just before our departure with a two-line message, and it was impossible to get additional information or a replacement guide. Thus, we missed what was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Another local guide confirmed to us that this way of doing things was abnormal and that the minimum would have been to respond and arrange for a replacement guide.

2.00The meeting at 8:30 was moved to 9:00 with a different guide the night before. The replacement guide spoke only Creole, and it was difficult to understand each other despite his good intentions. Fortunately, in today's group, there was a Seychellois who could translate for me. The presentation was initially scheduled in French. At 9 AM, we waited 20 minutes before getting into the truck's cargo area to head to Grand Anse! We picked up other clients along the way. We therefore started the excursion at 9:35 AM! Having fallen behind schedule, we arrived towards the end of the route at high tide and were required to take a small boat to finish at Anse Source d'Argent. To conclude, the guide asked me to pay him even though everything had been settled in advance! Not being from the same provider, it was difficult to prove my good faith to him. There is obviously a lack of communication among the professionals in these activities. However, guide Dave did his best to ensure our safety during the trip, and we were able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes.

1.00The tour guide had to cancel the original tour date, which was unfortunate for everyone involved. It would have been helpful if another guide had stepped in to ensure the clients could still enjoy the experience. This way, they wouldn't miss out on the tour entirely. I believe exploring these options could enhance the overall experience for future clients.

5.00We made the exit to Anse Marron with Gerard (Coco Trail) and it was a real highlight of our stay in La Digue. Gerard is a passionate guide who knows his island by heart. Along the way, he shares a lot of information about local fauna, flora and traditions. It’s really interesting and you feel he likes to pass on. He explains in French, English and even Creole, which creates a very authentic atmosphere. The path to Anse Marron can sometimes be technical and a bit sporty, but you feel totally safe with him. He takes the time, adapts the rhythm and always keeps his humor. The landscapes are absolutely beautiful from start to finish: between the granite rocks on the sea side and the lush vegetation, it is spectacular. We were a small group of 6 people, which really changes excursions “mass tourism”. The atmosphere was friendly and pleasant. Special mention for the small fruit basket served at lunch: delicious and very nicely presented, a nice surprise! Thank you Gerard for a wonderful day, we recommend without hesitation.
