5.00We had a wonderful time aboard Lily Marleen with João from SaltyPlanet, can really recommend this adventure! The yacht is perfect for nice sailing on the atlantic and very well balanced - a classic we just fell in love with when we came on board. We had one rougher day with up to 24 kts of wind, but with the fully reefed main and half genova it was still a big pleasure! The service of meals and coffee, also in harsh conditions was just outstanding! João the captain managed to cook exceptional good food every day of the trip - we miss it now! Also the safety on board was very good. We had several briefings, interesting training and beeing on Lily Marleen with such an experienced sailor was great and we felt very safe. We are "lake sailors" from Switzerland, so mid atlantic conditions were pretty new to us. It was wonderful to come to places normal tourists cannot reach. One of the best was sailing in front of the dragons head, Punta Rosais, the west end of São Jorge. Thank you João, we will never forget this experience! Silvan
