Parque El Olivar de San Isidro
This park is known for having the oldest olive trees in Peru, there are more than one thousand olive trees That are above 150 years old. For sure, this is a great opportunity to learn about history, birding, and nature! Just in this park, we will be able to watch more than 20 species of birds like Vermilion flycatcher, goldfinch, amazilia hummingbirds, etc. It is good to know that EL OLIVAR PARK is considered one of the most important lungs of the lima since it has more than ten hectares full of trees.
This Brand-new Park of Lima is located right on the cliff between Miraflores and Barranco's district overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This new attraction has more than 30 thousand square meters! it was built following the ancient Inca building technique called “Andenes or bench terraces” and also long walkable ramps. Since the opening of this PARK, it has become the perfect home for many, endemic and migratory birds (Mocking birds, shiny cowbirds, red-crested cardinals, house wren, etc).and also, for different kinds of butterflies that fly around enjoying the nectar of the flowers (bougainvillea, campanulas, small lantana, etc.) that adorn the landscape of the cliff.

5.00Excellent birdwatching tour in urban spaces of Lima. We went to three different locations and saw almost 25 varieties of birds in the parks. The pace was great and the crew of Amadeo and Silvana were very helpful in pointing out and identifying birds. Driver Julio was always on time transporting us between locations. If you want a nice , fun, informative and relaxed morning experience this half day tour is ideal

5.00Our guide Amadeo had infectious enthusiasm about the birds one can spot in Lima and throughout Peru, and expertly guided us to them. He also shared a lot of information about Peruvian culture and Lima which helped us to plan the rest of our trip. The binoculars were great for seeing the smaller birds. The variety of interesting birds one can see on this tour in Lima is incredible. We would highly recommend this tour to experience the diversity of birds one can find in Lima and learn about the culture of Lima and Peru.

5.00This tour was wonderful! My guide was very knowledgeable about the birds that could be found in Lima. The day was not really great for birds but that was not under his control. Because we didn't have luck at our first few parks we did a surprise visit to another park that was a bonus. I would do this again with Haku! I felt very safe with the driver.
