Never been landsailing? That's okay. No experience necessary. Bonaire has the perfect conditions and we have the ideal location. Sailing a blokart is super easy to learn. We'll give you a 10 minute lesson to ensure you have the most fun during your time on the track. This activity is for everyone because you control the speed. Those wishing to take it easy and enjoy a leisurely, wind-powered sail can do so, and those wanting a full dose of adrenaline will also enjoy themselves. We have three shadow (double) blokarts available so small children (ages 3-8) or elderly parents can ride in the "side car". No excuses for not participating as we recently had a 91 year old lady experience landsailing at our track. Children, age 8 and older, can sail solo (depending on wind conditions).

What To Expect
The track is located about 15 minutes from the center of Kralendijk on the wild and windy side of the island. You are welcome to drive there yourself, then spend some time exploring in the area. (If you need a transfer from Kralendijk, please select that option when you make your booking.) When you arrive at the track, we'll spend about 10-15 minutes going over the rules and getting some tips on sailing. You'll don helmets and gloves (and glasses if you don't have your own) before walking to the pit stop and getting into your blokart. We size the sail to suit the wind conditions and your weight and skill level. You'll have about 45 minutes of sailing (on wheels) before it is time to come back to the reception area for a debrief and discussion on "who was the fastest!". We offer cold water served in your very own eco-friendly water bottle (included in the price) and some unique souvenirs available for purchase. The total tour takes about 2 hours including travel time from Kralendijk.

5.00It was a lot of fun, not as hard as I thought it would be. The 3 guys running it were all helpful, fun & friendly. Leave early to be on time, it’s a bit further out than you think. Every one in our group had a great time.

5.00We had a great time blokarting! We arrived a few minutes early by rental car. The location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. We were greeted warmly by staff upon arrival. They helped us check in and confirmed our paperwork was complete. While we waited for our time slot, we watched the previous group expertly circle the track and took in the stunning views of the crashing waves in the distance. We then joined the rest of the participants in our flight for instructions and gear fit. After a short (and slightly humorous) safety video, we donned our protective gear: helmet and gloves. As we did so, the previous group returned their karts. We then took a short walk to the starting line, were given a short review of the race track logistics, and were matched with a kart based on body mass (combined if riding as a pair). After we clambered in our karts, the staff performed another safety check on our rope, belt, and gear. Then, a strong push from staff and we were off and landsailing! It was amazing how fast we could go just by wind power! It takes just a couple laps to orient yourself to the process of simultaneously steering, and holding and tightening the rope. In no time we were making tight turns and running double-wide side-by-side down the straightaways. Our hour of sailing flew by, literally. The staff guides you to the pit stop, and you all come together for a quick group photo. We returned our borrowed gear and that was it. Sadly, our landsailing adventure had come to an end. Thankfully, the staff was taking photos and videos of our ride and kindly provided us with a link to the shared album for retrieval in 24-48 hours. Now our amazing landsailing experience is safely archived in both our personal and digital memories.

5.00So much fun and a very unique experience in the Caribbean. We did this with our 15 year old grandson and loved feeling the wind push us around the track and the thrill of chasing one another as we went round and round. I highly recommend trying out landsailing, you won’t be disappointed!!
