Dolmabahce Palace
Dolmabahçe Mosque: A Jewel of the Bosphorus Dolmabahçe Mosque, located on the European shore of Istanbul’s Bosphorus, is one of the most elegant examples of 19th-century Ottoman architecture. Commissioned by Queen Mother Bezmialem Sultan and completed by her son Sultan Abdülmecid in 1855, the mosque reflects the splendor and refinement of the late Ottoman era. 5.00We didn’t plan originally to do this cruise, but people said we had to do it, and the price was reasonable so we did. It was 100% worth it. You get a sense of Istanbul’s size and history, the snacks were nice, and the crew makes sure you get your sunset pictures! We asked and were told the best place to sit was the back—we grabbed a seat on the left (if you’re facing the front of the boat) and it was definitely the right choice. The coast is on your left the whole time, so you get the best views! Definitely bring a light jacket (it was 90° the day we went, but I wore my jacket the whole time, even before the sun set). We also did the hotel pickup, which was easy to use and hassle-free!

5.00A unique experience. Don't listen to those who say you can take the cruise for €1 with the ferries that cross the Bosphorus. This is a luxury experience; you travel for 3 hours covering a large part of the strait, seeing areas you wouldn't see otherwise. They keep providing you with food and drinks so that you feel at home. The guide's explanations are live and in Spanish, and above all, with a very small group (around 10 people) on a yacht. At the end of the journey, there is a moment that I won't reveal to avoid spoiling the surprise, which has become the highlight of my trip to Istanbul. The experience is worth every last euro!! I would do it again with my eyes closed.

5.00What a great experience! We did this cruise the first evening we were in Istanbul. The team picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the end of the evening. The cruise was awesome, smooth ride coupled with amazing views/sights. The crew provided snacks and drinks throughout the cruise and if wanted, you can buy beer / wine. There is a guide who provides highlights of the sights and city and ours was pretty funny as well. There are great seating options, all with good to great views and if you are topside, they have blankets available. The entire operation is very well run. All in all, what a great way to start an Istanbul visit.
