In this hands-on experience, we invite you to a traditional rural farm where time slows down, and the scent of wood smoke fills the air. You won’t just learn how to bake; you will be initiated into a ritual that has sustained community for generations. The journey begins with the Mother Dough (Lievito Madre), a living ingredient passed down through family, carrying the flavours and stories of the past. Under the guidance of the farmer’s family, you will learn the rhythmic art of kneading. understanding how patience and passion transform simple ingredients into “Pane" As the dough rises, we will share the story of family and land, offering you a window into a lifestyle rooted in the seasons. You will then learn the sacred and primal ritual of the wood fire oven: how to select the right wood, how to read the dancing flames, and how to prepare the stone hearth for the perfect bake. Join us on a convivial meal where we “break bread” together, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, homemade honey, and paired with local seasonal delicacies.

5.00We have been to Italy 4 times, this was the best tour we have ever taken. Enzo was a fantastic guide!!! The family that ran the farm were exceptional hosts, very warm and welcoming. The fresh made Bread, Pasta, Cheeses, Olive Oil, Wine and other food were just spectacular. The absolute best day we had in the Tropea area ever.

5.00What a fantastic experience! Enzo was such a wonderful host that took care of us during the whole experience. Started with a beautiful viewpoint at Capo Vaticano, visited wonderful biological family-run winery to end up at the countryside to get the authentic experience with a local family to make bread. I did this with my family and they, despite not speaking English loved every minute of it. Enzo is a wonderful host that make us feel part of the community and then the language barrier did not exist anymore. Fully recommend!!! ✨
