Our family (adults and young teenagers) enjoyed this excursion a lot. Even though it was a bit rainy, we stayed very warm and dry. (The special suits provided were great!) The equipment was all provided and in good repair. The scenery was beautiful, and the pace was comfortable. Kayaking is hard work if you’re not used to it, but you can stop when you need to, and the bay was quite protected. We saw some adorable Harbour seals who were quite curious about our boats and came to check us out. Our guide Luna was very kind, friendly, and mindful of wildlife and ecology. Hot chocolate and cookies at the end was a nice touch, and we also got good advice about the other sights on the peninsula. In case you were wondering like I was: there is a bathroom at the office where you depart, and you can just wear ordinary clothes, we stayed dry. No swimsuits needed. The excursion provided waterproof cases for phones during the excursion (no extra charge) so you can safely take photos on the water.

Well-organized experience. The location was easy to find, and parking was plentiful. The company provided drysuits, which we put on over our street clothes, along with neoprene gloves and boots. Several seals from the harbor followed our kayaks, which was an added bonus. Luna was an engaging and charismatic guide, and did a good job of matching the pace with the group’s experience level and physical abilities.

Great experience with Guillaume (who speaks French) - beautiful outing full of local explanations, sighting of a seal and many birds - if you pass by, do not hesitate.

Great experience with William, our guide. A very accessible walk, anecdotes about the places, and then the little island with the seals!! It is really worth it

It was very nice to get out on the water and feel the openness . We seen some seals in the water and on a small island, which was great to see some wildlife. Had great time.

It was OK. I was disappointed that there was only one 2-person kayak available and I didn't get it, so I had to use a 1-person kayak, which I'd never done before so I was very slow in paddling it. I felt bad that I held up the rest of the group. It wasn't clear from the description of this activity that most participants would use 1-person kayaks. The 2 guides were friendly and tried to be helpful. Overall the activity did not last as long as had been described. What I enjoyed most was seeing seals close up.

We had an absolutely wonderful time kayaking around Kirkjufell! The weather and conditions were perfect. Greg was an amazing guide! He was so knowledgeable about not only the area but had amazing facts about Iceland as a whole! The process to get ready and into the water was seamless and we were greeted with hot chocolate and cookies afterwards! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is in the area as a wonderful way to take in all of the natural beauty!

We had no trouble finding the spot to Kayak which was only a couple of minutes walk from the tender drop off point. Sonny and Greg were terrific guides and walked us through the entire experience from getting donned in our wetsuits to getting in and out of the ocean inlet we were kayaking in. One of our friends was kayaking for the first time and they made her feel very comfortable and she quickly gained confidence despite kayaking in an ocean! Beautiful views, great info from the guides and we saw some seals nearby in the water with us also. A totally fabulous time!

Greg led us on a delightful kayak tour of the waters around Mt Kirkjufell. Stunning scenery! Good bird and seal sightings. Greg's explanations and stories were very good, and just the right amount. Getting set up to go in the kayaks was done in a really positive way. The equipment is excellent. Highly recommended!
