The opportunity to witness agriculture in action is a rarity nowadays. To experience where our food is grown rather than to watch it arrive at supermarkets is the point of our farm tours. Our farmers are happy to work with you to design a farm tour that fits into your group’s focus.
We are happy to share our farm with you in a way that meets the interest of your group. Sample group tour focuses are below to give you an idea of what a farm experience can offer.

5.00The experience combined authentic Costa Rican food, culture, and history in a fun, family-friendly farm-to-table setting. Chef Andres was lively, enthusiastic, entertaining, and incredibly knowledgeable. Everyone was hands-on throughout the class, preparing dishes over a traditional wood fire while learning about local ingredients and cooking techniques. We especially enjoyed learning what makes certain dishes uniquely Costa Rican, including the differences between empanadas and ceviche in Costa Rica. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you’re visiting the La Fortuna area, we recommend this cooking class for a memorable and enjoyable family experience.

5.00Everything tested espectacular. My favorite dish was the heart of palm ceviche with yuca fries. He made the class enjoyable and funny. Tought us techniques of the proper way of cutting an onion and I loved the idea of using palm tree leaves as plates. He also provided us a tour of the plantation where they grow some food and had some animals.

5.00Rafting down Balsa Lake with Alejandra was a blast.. it was very scenic. The tour guides are great fun and there were a variety of interesting things along the way .. They served us amazing fruit and at the end we had a great meal with coffee at the end ... I'd highly recommend.. Pura vida!!

5.00Everything was so incredibly chill- it was just me and my husband for the cooking class. We made some great Costa Rican local cuisine and had a really great time just chilling and shooting the breeze with our guide. He gave us some really amazing insights on food and culture. Can’t recommend enough!
