The Transfăgărășan is a paved mountain road crossing the southern section of the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. According to TopGear it is the "best road in the world". Join us on a full day tour to see the beauty of the spectacular Făgăraș Mountains and learn how the Transfăgărășan Road was built. Enjoy a brief stop at Bâlea Lake and afterwards we head towards Vidraru Dam an imposing 166 meters high dam. On our way back to Sibiu we'll make a quick stop to visit the Clay Castle.

Transfagarasan Highway
If you want to experience “the best road in the world” and take some of the most beautiful pictures, then Transfăgărășan is the perfect place to visit. Le Lac Balea
After the many of curves of Transfăgărășan we will finally arrive at Bâlea Lake, a wonderful Glacier Lake located at an altitude of 2034 meters.

5.00Spectacular trip, Recommendation to go together with a friend because alone you can not photograph how much you see and how much you would like to show our friends. However, it all remains in the eyes and it is really difficult to capture the moments and images that you wish you could keep forever for us. Go, go and enjoy it all, take all the time you need, don't rush it, it deserves our full attention. Have a nice trip!

5.00We were 3 persons that did this tour and we all agree that it was fantastic! To see the Transfagarasan road, the impressive dam and the majestic Carpathian mountains was amazing. We even saw a real bear on the trip! Our guide Radu was just excellent and took us around to see these great places. During our day he also gave us a lot of information about beautiful Romania and we had a lot of interesting conversations about Romania, the political situation and the countrys history. We did this tour on our final day in Romania and it was just a great experience and an awesome farewell to beautiful Romania and Transylvania. We can really recommend to do this great and interesting tour!! And thank you Radu for a great day!

5.00We enjoyed the tour a lot and we were overall very happy about it. Radu was able to give us a good organisation for the day and was flexible with things that we wanted to do. I suppose that is the good thing about a private tour like this. A point for improvement could be a lot more fun facts, there were information that was given to us and they were quite useful. As a tourist I was kind of a bit looking for more, a pamphlet maybe for the future? But really no big issue here at all. I highly recommend this tour, its well worth it 👍
