Join Storytellers Eco Tours and cycle at a relaxed pace with your small group for four hours along the 'back road' - Ara Metua, lane ways and occasional gentle terrain bush tracks. You will experience the tranquil pace of local village life, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are plenty of stops along the way where your tour guide will tell you more about what you are seeing and experiencing. The 'explore' tour concludes with a picnic lunch at the beach, where you can have a swim to cool off. This is the more advanced of our three bicycle tours and better for those with some confidence cycling. You will ne picked up between 7.50 and 8.40am, tour is from approx. 9 to 1pm, followed by lunch and a swim before being dropped back to your accommodation.

Explore Arorangi village on the west coast of Rarotonga. Tour may include seeing the local prison, CICC Arorangi church, palace, Black Rock, and local gardens.

5.00Corine was great at providing us with history of the Island tribes, including explaining flora. The bike ride on the upper or inner island road was really enjoyable as it was away from traffic. Bikes in great shape. Definitely a great way to see parts of this beautiful island in a relaxed and fun manner.
An absolute must adventure with a wonderful host!

5.00What a fantastic day! 7 of us from 15 year old early 20s and 50+ year olds. Learnt so much about the history, fruit, got to prepare a coconut, love the local stories, secret waterfalls, scenery and finished with a yummy lunch. An absolute must if travelling to Rarotonga. Karina was a fabulous host.

5.00Karina (spelling?) was super friendly and helpful arranging pick up and really knowledgeable about the island, birds and plants . She catered easily for riders of various abilities.Bikes well maintained and the finishing sandwich’s and snacks superb!

5.00Super knowledgeable, patient and friendly tour guide! Not too strenuous but a perfect pace for a hot humid day. Took 13 yr old child who had a blast. Learned tons about the island, culture and amazing fruits that grow along the path- some of which we got to try! Nice little waterfall at the end was refreshing! One of the highlights of the trip, a great way to get a little exercise and learn!

5.00We absolutely loved the 3-hour bike tour. We were picked up right on time from our resort, and the bikes were in great condition. Corinna and the lovely lady who brought our lunch were both wonderful and very welcoming. We really enjoyed the experience and felt it was excellent value for money.
Bad mouthing never wins love. Food allergies ignored.

3.00Now the rating is complicated: Bike ride 5/5 stars. The history 5/5. The tour route, 5/5. Now for the problems: The swim in the waterfall 30mins to 1hr, fine right? The contrasting swim at the beach, we were all told 1hr, in reality it was 10mins. I cannot stand not being given accurate info, 0/5 stars. There was such a race to leave the beach, an under armour shirt was left in the chaos, thank god we had hired our own car! The fact that the dietary requirements were given and not followed 0/5 stars. Two of us put food allergies only to be ignored?? Why put them in then?? To be fair, the banana bread, cassava chips shared between 5 people were nice, hardly substantial for lunch though. The real icing that clinched the review was there bad mouthing of Captain Tomas Lagoon Cruises because they are the original cruise. The bike company spouts and totes for Koka because there is a kiwi owner. That’s just not right, I didn’t appreciate it. Yes Captain Tomas might make a light hearted joke when and who models using the Sarong but to be misleading and scaring people away from the original.. no I cannot in good faith recommend this again.

5.00This was a thoroughly enjoyable cycle tour, our tour guide Corinna was knowledgable and very accomodating to what we all wanted to see on the tour. Along the way we stopped at different places and we were even encouraged to participate in opening a coconut and taste it. Corinna showed us local culture of significance, talked about history of the island and showed us interesting and beautiful places and places. The lunch was delicious too. Highly recommend this experience.

5.00Wonderful tour with Dr. Corinna Tucker! Her experience living on the island combined with her knowledge as a researcher, writer and educator made for an engaging, interesting and fun tour. We saw parts of the island off the main road and learned about food, culture, language and so much more! I highly recommend this tour with the lunch on the beach and swim afterwards. It was a perfect way to end! The cycling speed and intensity depends on the group. Ours was well paced with participants ranging from 8 to 70 years old!

5.00What a great start to our Rarotonga holiday, getting to know the history, flora and fauna, culture and folklore, how to husk a coconut while cycling around the beautiful island of Rarotonga. Stopped for a delicious coffee and finished with a tasty picnic on the beach Corinna is a fantastic guide and covers all sorts of topics and is happy to answer any questions, Cycling is very easy as mostly flat roads and the pace is leisurely. Highly recommend this trip.
