John was a great guide and host, we thoroughly enjoyed our day of food & wine tasting! There were plenty of things to try including some things that you may not have had before. John was very informative on what the foods were and their origins, and altogether it makes for a great days activity.

John was an outstanding guide and made the La Rochelle food tour both informative and enjoyable. His knowledge of the city's history, local culture, and culinary traditions added so much depth to the experience. Every stop featured delicious regional specialties, and John explained the story behind each dish and drink, making it much more than just a tasting tour. The pace was relaxed, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the food, ask questions, and take in the beautiful surroundings of La Rochelle. John's friendly personality and enthusiasm made the group feel welcome from the start. If you're looking for a great introduction to La Rochelle's food scene while learning about the city's history, I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our visit. Thank you John !

Outstanding tour by John. Very knowledgeable about the food (oysters, charcuterie, cheese, patisserie) and the wine (pineau Des Charente, local wines, cognac). Time flew by. Highly recommended. Best Paris-Brest pastry I’ve ever had. I would suggest a light or no dinner afterwards.

Wonderful three hours with John tasting great local foods and wines as well as learning about La Rochelle. We would not have appreciated this great town on our own and John was a wonderful guide. He is personable funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

This was a great way to explore La Rocelle, eating and drinking along the way. John's tour was fun. Have no hesitation in recommending it, but only if you like to est and drink!

The tour offered a wonderful blend of La Rochelle’s culinary scene and rich history. The food and drink samplings were delicious and far beyond what you would likely discover on your own. Our guide, John, was incredibly knowledgeable about both the terrain and the terroir, and his relationships with local artisanal vendors gave us an authentic taste of this fascinating city and region. His storytelling and insights brought the history of the area vividly to life. Highly recommended. —Michael

John gave a great food tour. He knows his stuff and took us to a variety of establishments. He went above and beyond expectations too! He checked on us to make sure we were ok after the tour as one of us became very unwell. Now all ok. Thank you again John. Shirley and Brendan
