What To Expect
Puligny-Montrachet
We will drive through the vineyards and ancient wine villages of Côte de Beaune to the great Grand Crus of Montrachet, where will stop to discuss terroir and classification of our wines.
Santenay
Visit an Independent Winegrower, meeting in their vineyard where they will explain their Domaine. Walk to the Cave where you will taste 6 wines with the grower - a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir selection from Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet and Santenay, including Premier Crus.

5.00Great experience! The guide Dylan was extremely attentive, polite, explained a lot about the wines, vineyards and winegrowers of the region of Burgundy. We visited Domaine Moillard > Meursault, Domaine Jean Fery > Echevronne, Domaine Bertagna > Vougeot, where we tasted high quality wines. Our tour was private and in Van of new and high standard finish. In short, everything exceeded our expectations!

5.00We spent 1 1/2 days with Burgundy Discovery on May 26 and 27, from our hotel in Beaune. Thomas was our guide for the whole time. The overall experience was superb and Thomas was excellent! We spent time at 5 different wineries across the Cote D'Or across 2 days. Thomas was incredibly friendly and personable, and his knowledge of Burgundy wines is exhaustive. The staff at these wineries (including several of the actual winemakers) were all very friendly and engaging. In addition to the winery experience, Thomas was very informative as to the overall region, both in terms of geography, interesting places to see and recommended restaurants.

This is our first trip to the Burgundy region and we tasted some exceptional wines, had a great lunch and I now FINALLY understand enough about the region and their unique rules to find a wine to our tastes on the massive wine lists that all the great restaurants have.

5.00Johan was a phenomenal guide. He was intensely knowledgeable and he perfectly balanced sharing technical wine information with sharing local facts and stories. The wineries chosen were intentional and a strong variety from small family owned domaines to larger producers. Additionally, lunch was fantastic and in a quaint restaurant.

5.00My husband and I had an incredible all day tour alongside one other couple, all professionally guided by Thomas. We were SO fortunate to have Thomas as our guide, as he is an expert on all things Burgundy wines, as well as so many fascinating regional facts and personal stories, all related with humorous good nature. We had an outstanding lunch at Le Sufflot, an area restaurant. Oh my…. By the end of the day, we felt like we’d made many new friends including the friendly and professional winery staff members, Thomas and our fellow wine travelers, Denise and Edward.

5.0013 years since my last Gourmet Tour with Burgundy Discovery. Fantastic experience again. The format hasn’t changed much. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Excellent quality wines tasted at the 3 Domaines visited. The vineyard owners and staff were so enthusiastic explaining the wine making process. Our tour guide Dylan was exceptional. His knowledge and attention to detail is amazing. We learnt so much even though we had visited Burgundy before. The midday traditional meal at Le Globe restaurant Meursault was lovely, beautifully presented, paired with the appropriate wines chosen by the sommelier. I cannot thank Dylan and the Burgundy Discovery team enough for another wonderful fun day. If you want a real insight into Burgundy wines look no further than Burgundy Discovery.
