Amazing, knowledgeable guide Nancy look us around the local markets, temples and food stalls including Michelin star food. Food was delicious and while there was so much to eat, was able to take some home to have later. Would recommend for couples, family's and solo travellers. A bit of walking but took a tuk tuk for the longer leg which was a good option on a hot day. Would have liked to try some more diverse food options but only so much you can eat in a few hours.

Loved it… PT was a local, shared tons of info, just a nice person! As for the tour, saw lots …ate lots. It was more food than anyone could ever eat… so much variety with good background to each dish. Would highly recommend this tour!

Oh my gosh, all I can say is the customer service from the Chiang Mai Foodie Tours team helped make a stressful situation less so. I had booked my tour with them directly. Then the super fun winter storm of 2026 hit half of the States and my flight was delayed by 24hrs which would cause me to miss all of the tours I had booked in Chiang Mai, including this one. I knew the terms and conditions of their cancellation policy and was happy to just write it off as a loss to respect their company. Imagine my surprise when they still refunded me the full amount while I was stuck at the airport. That would be 6 stars in my viewpoint as they went above and beyond.

What a great tour! We met our guide in Warorot market, a 3-story indoor market filled with clothing, souvenirs, produce, and, of course, FOOD! Our first tastings were a combination of delicious fruit and prepared foods: Thai sausage, fermented ground pork, & Khao Niew Tua Dum (Sticky Rice with Black Beans in Coconut Milk). After the market, we went to a "proper" restaurant where we ate four different dishes, from vegetarian to larb to pork stew. Thank goodness we shared each portion family style... there was SO much delicious food! Our final stop was a night bazaar near the north gate. We shared 2 more savory dishes (including stir-fried noodles) plus 3 desserts. In all, I think I counted 17 or 18 bites! We loved every minute of our tour, and felt like we really had a thorough sampling of so many Thai flavors. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour without guide PT. We were able to try a lot of traditional northern Thai foods that I am sure we would not have tried on our own. We started in Warorot market & sampled different & interesting fruits & Thai tea. Afterwards we went to a traditional Thai restaurant & tried several main dishes, then to the northern gate market to try several more main dishes & have dessert. The portions were very large. We had to pace ourselves but thankfully, PT took us on some sightseeing tours in between places to give us short breaks between tastings. We loved it. We highly recommend this tour if you’re wanting to experience true Thai culture.

We had an amazing food tour with PT, our delightful guide from Chiang Mai Foodies. We learned a lot about the food, culture and people of Lanna/Northern Thailand. We ate SO much! More than 15 items from the Wararot Market, a local restaurant specializing in Northern Thai dishes, and the night food market. She had a plan in mind, but easily adapted based on our interests and the availability of items in the different stalls.

We had a wonderful time learning about Northern Thai cuisine! We ended up having a couple of our fav dishes during this tour in the 3 weeks we've been in Thailand. Our guide spoke great English and she was very polite. A fun day and adventure! Highly recommend.

Loved our tour. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was paced perfectly. The food was amazing. Don’t eat beforehand because they are very generous with the amount you eat.

This was the best tour I have ever been on. Our tour guide PT was kind, attentive, and informative. I learned so much about Thai culture on this trip. We gorged ourselves on excellent foods and were transported all around Chiang Mai. Our favorite part was ending at the market with dessert and Thai tea. PT bought us roses because it was our honeymoon. Book this trip!
