Nyboders Mindestuer
If you are going to get to the heart of hygge, you need to go back in time. We begin our Hygge & Happiness tour near the characteristic yellow houses of Nyboder, a famed local district. Here you’ll meet and greet your native guide and your group for the day. Your native guide is a bona fide Copenhagener who is super excited to share their knowledge of Danish culture with you, as well as local historical secrets that you won’t find in any guidebooks! And because our tours are for small groups only, your guide has plenty of time to answer
Copenhagen
Your tour takes you through the oldest parts of the city, where you experience hidden gems in the form of cobblestone-filled streets, timber-framed houses, and green refuges of calm amongst the urban sprawl. Krusemyntegade is one of the cobblestone-filled streets that just scream hygge with that old world charm. It’s a great example of how hyggelig our city can be if you just take the time to wander.

I cannot recommend this tour enough! Amit, our host, was fantastic. So welcoming and deeply passionate about sharing Danish history and culture. It felt less like a rigid tour and more like exploring hidden corners of the capital with a highly knowledgeable friend. We learned a ton about the local language and people, enjoyed some amazing local treats along the way, and left with an awesome list of post-tour recommendations to maximize the rest of our trip. 10/10 experience!

My husband and I went on a private Hygge and Happiness Tour. Therese, our guide arrived promptly to our meeting location and gave us a wonderful overview of the Danish people and culture. She was extremely patient since I move at a slower pace and need breaks. She made sure there were benches to sit on and let me walk at my pace so I wouldn’t get stressed. I really liked Mie and Friends. My reservation was handled promptly and correctly and all of my concerns and questions were answered. The stops made gave us an overview of Danish life and we learned so much while sampling the fika and drinks. I enthusiastically recommend Mie and Friends, particularly if anyone has any mobility problems.

Our tour guide Isabella was fantastic. She took us all over the city and explained the history of the area. She also kindly tolerated all of our questions. We tasted delicious pastries and desserts we wouldn’t have found on our own and loved learning about Danish history and culture. Take the tour and ask for Isabella!

We had a wonderful time wandering through Copenhagen with our tour guide Michelle. We experienced tasting traditional Danish food, we now know alot more about Danish history and how people like live, work and play in Copenhagen. It makes such a difference having a local showing you around, I would highly recommend Michelle as your tour guide.
