Ihlara Canyon is where you can see the natural heritage and the cultural heritage of Cappadocia. Besides, it's interesting to see the wild pistachio trees in central Asia Minor because of the microclimate of the canyon. Or in march, you may see asparagus growing among the rocks.

What To Expect
Ihlara Valley
We do the walk for 7 km in Ihlara Canyon to see a different aspect of Cappadocian Valleys. Ihlara used to be a perfect place for Greek monks to live in the caves and pray in the cave churches of the Valley. Moreover, you can see some unique depictions on frescoes such as the only muslim figure and a depiction of Judgement day on frescoes.
Selime Monastery
Selime is a cave complex of a church, chapel, cathedral, kitchen, winery, storages etc. completely carved into the hill at the end of Ihlara Canyon. Also it offers you a chance to see a good view of the formations called Star Wars Movie Place.
