Situated at around 6,000 feet in elevation and just 45 minutes from Moab, Dead Horse Point offers a thrilling ride along moderate to intermediate single-track trails. These trails feature rolling terrain and breathtaking overlooks of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. This adventure is ideal for riders with some prior mountain biking experience. The tour includes a high-quality mountain bike, helmet, park entrance fees, and snacks. The entire experience, including travel time, lasts between 4 to 5 hours and covers roughly 10 miles, though this may vary depending on your ability and fitness level.

Misleading sales tactics and zero regard for safety in severe weather

1.00I strongly advise looking for another mountain biking outfitter in Moab. Our private tour of the Dead Horse Point Singletrack on April 11th was a massive disappointment, largely due to Rim Tours' misleading staff and lack of basic safety protocols. Before booking, I explicitly called their office to inquire about the trail's difficulty. Their representative adamantly assured me that this was an easy, beginner-friendly ride. That was completely false. The trail features rocky, technical terrain. When confronted about this later, management simply pointed to the "intermediate" label on their website, completely ignoring the blatant misrepresentation by their own sales team over the phone. To make matters worse, we were caught in a severe storm. While I understand a standard "rain or shine" policy, we were exposed to active thunder and lightning out on the trail. A competent outfitter would prioritize safety and pull their clients off an exposed plateau during a lightning storm. Instead, because we had to end the ride early to avoid being struck by lightning, Rim Tours hid behind their cancellation policy and refused to offer any kind of refund or credit, claiming the guide deemed it "appropriate to proceed." If you value honest communication and your own personal safety, do not book with Rim Tours. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your credit card, and once the tour starts, you are completely on your own.

5.00My family sent me off on the morning of my birthday for a half-day ride in Dead Horse Point state park. Julie was the perfect guide to take me on my first ride of my 51st year! Beautiful scenery and great fun riding on the amazing trail system.

5.00We did an intermediate tour with e-bikes with Brian in Dead Horse plane. Brian was an amazing guide! He gave us information on the area, while also guiding us perfectly throughout the park. The tour was incredibly fun and enjoyable. The e-bikes were amazing and we had the time of our lives!

5.00This was such an awesome experience. This tour made everything so Easy! Our tour guide, Marla, was phenomenal! Now to be completely honest- my husband and I only experience with “mountain biking” has been on the flat land of Florida. We were completely transparent with Marla about our level of expertise. She made us feel SO comfortable. If there were segments that we struggled- she kept encouraging us. There were times we had to walk the bike because WOW that was a challenge but what made the experience so wonderful was the challenge. Marla even said- what makes this experience so great is the challenge because you will never forget. And she was 100% correct. Thank you Rim Tours and Marla for making our time in Moab such a memorable one.

5.00Great but rugged ride with nice viewsI Guide was excellent and patient. Bikes were top notch. Would not recommend doing if you do not have a moderate level of physical fitness and /or have not adjusted to the elevation change.
