Little Island
Your tour starts with a visit to Little Island, a unique public park located on the Hudson River at Pier 55. Opened in 2021, it features a striking design with tulip-shaped concrete pillars rising from the water, creating an elevated green space. The park spans 2.4 acres and offers scenic views, landscaped gardens, winding pathways, and open lawns. It also hosts an amphitheater for live performances and various cultural events. Little Island serves as a tranquil urban oasis, blending nature, art, and community engagement in the heart of Manhattan.
Meatpacking District
Then, you wil head to The Meatpacking District, a trendy neighborhood located on Manhattan's west side. Originally an industrial area known for its meatpacking plants, it has transformed into a vibrant hotspot for fashion, art, and nightlife. The cobblestone streets are lined with high-end boutiques, chic restaurants, and stylish hotels. The district is also home to cultural landmarks like the Whitney Museum of American Art and the southern entrance to the High Line, an elevated urban park. The Meatpacking District blends historic charm with modern luxury, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

Our family took the High Line, Chelsea and Hudson walking tour with Kevin. Talk about a knowledgeable tour guide. He filled our tour with history, insider and personal stories, art and knowledge that only a native New Yorker would know. 10/10, highly recommended!

I absolutely loved the High Line, Chelsea and Hudson Yards Tour with Edge Entry Option in New York City! It was such a great blend of scenic walking, history and incredible city views. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole walk through the High Line and Chelsea so enjoyable and fun to learn about. The highlight was ending the tour at the Edge — the views over the city were breathtaking and worth every minute. What I appreciated most was seeing parts of the city I never would have discovered on my own and getting fun photo ops along the way. Whether you love urban exploration or want a unique way to see NYC from both street level and above, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommended for first-time visitors and repeat travelers alike!

1. There was only one issue, but it was a major problem. The instructions for the location to meet were very poor...the locations (Cunard site and pier 54) DO NOT EXIST. We arrived 30 min early, walked all around and could not find out guide. We showed instructions to local people, landscapers who work in the area, ...no one knew where it was. Did not see anyone with a flag during this time. The only way we connected was by a phone call from booking agent who stayed on the line while talking to the guide. When we finally connected, he did have a small orange flag. I recommend meeting at the entrance to the bridge going to the island. It is easily identifiable by the large groups of white structures all around the island and over the bridge. 2. Ron, our guide was very knowledgeable. He was also very kind and aware of the outdoor conditions...sunny and 94 degrees. We were the only people on the tour. He continually checked to see if we were ok with walking in the heat, stopped in shaded areas whenever possible, and kept a slower pace. We lingered in the air conditioned areas. 3. We enjoyed learning about the history of the areas we visited. The High Line was especially nice. We arrived at our last stop, The Edge, a little early. Ron assisted us in exchanging our tickets for an earlier time so we did not have to wait. Overall it was a good tour that focused on this specific area of the city. 4. Last suggestion....we could hear Ron without any difficulty since it was just the two of us with him, but larger groups would benefit from a system with earpiece and a microphone for him.
