What To Expect
We will meet at the meeting point and head to the start of the trail. The hike is easy, lasting approximately 30 minutes, passing through sections of the Atlantic Forest to the top of the mountain, which offers one of the most beautiful views of Rio. The route is relaxed and done at a comfortable pace. Upon reaching the top, at 696 meters altitude, we will have a breathtaking view of the city of Rio de Janeiro, with views of the ocean, beaches, mountains, and green areas in the south and west zones. We will take breaks for contemplation, photos, and a brief guided meditation (optional). After descending, we will head to a hidden and special beach. There, you can swim, sunbathe, relax, or watch/play a game of altinha, a traditional beach pastime for Rio residents. The order of activities can be reversed. The trail is suitable for people with little or no trekking experience, as it does not require great physical preparation. During the route, it is common to see birds and different species of plants from the Atlantic Forest. Depending on weather conditions and with prior arrangement, the experience can be combined with hang gliding (hike and fly), making the trip even more special.

5.00Amazing experience hiking Pedra Bonita with AWA Adventures. The hike is easy and the views at the top are unreal. I went on my birthday, and Diego made the whole experience feel extra special. He has such a great vibe and really helps you slow down and enjoy the moment. Diego suggested walking part of the way down barefoot, I went for it and it wasn’t difficult at all! such a unique and grounding experience I won’t forget. After the hike, we spent time by a gorgeous beach and finished the day with an amazing meal, which was the perfect way to close everything. Definitely recommend if you’re in Rio and want something different.

5.00Hiking Pedra Bonita with AWA Adventures was absolutely incredible. The trail itself is beautiful and manageable, surrounded by lush forest, and the views at the top are simply breathtaking. Seeing Rio de Janeiro from that perspective is something I will never forget.
