5.00I had a great experience visiting Hotomai Cultural Village. It was one of the highlights of my time in the Solomon Islands. The village offers an authentic look at local culture, traditions, and daily life, and it never felt staged or overly commercialized. The people were welcoming and happy to share their customs, stories, and way of life. I especially enjoyed learning about traditional practices and seeing how the community works together to preserve its culture. The setting itself is beautiful and gives you a chance to experience a side of the Solomon Islands that many visitors never see. A special thanks to my driver, Karl, who made the trip smooth and enjoyable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the day stress-free from start to finish. If you’re visiting Honiara and want a genuine cultural experience, I highly recommend making the trip to Hotomai Cultural Village. It’s a memorable experience that provides a deeper appreciation of the Solomon Islands and its people.

5.00We had arranged for a private tour in advance with Hapi for the day our cruise ship was in port. I expect that their resources were stretched thin, as there didn't seem to be a lot of tour operators in Honiara. Morrison was a knowledgeable and personable guide and very accommodating. We had a clean and modern air conditioned minivan for our tour with him so getting in and out of the vehicle was easy. We were able to see many highlights of the City, as well as go to the Hotomai Cultural Village during our 6.5 hour tour. We would be happy to hire Hapi and Morrison again and highly recommend them.
