Gubei Water Town
Gubei Water Town surrounds the beautiful Mandarin Duck Lake Reservoir and leans against the Simatai Great Wall, the most dangerous and majestic section of the entire Great Wall. Regarded as 'Wuzhen in Beijing', Gubei Water Town boasts a combination of mountains, water and ancient villages. Most buildings are reconstructed in the traditional courtyard style. Based on five ancient villages and a water resource, this water town has developed into a large-scale sightseeing and holiday destination.

Amazing day out at the Great Wall of China

5.00Wonderful day trip to Jinshanling Great Wall and Gubei Water Town. Our driver Su Debin was a wonderful host and driver and he helped us purchase tickets and showed us entrances and exits. When he dropped us off he made it very clear where he would be waiting and of course we could communicate via We Chat if we needed anything. Making the whole experience seamless. He stopped if we wanted to take photos and we were able to chat through the translation app We Chat. We had a great day out. Su Debin was very punctual in an immaculately presented car. Best of all, he had a bag of snacks for us and gifts when he dropped us at the end of the day. We really want to thank him for a fun day out. Highly recommended.

5.00Our very sympathic driver was waiting for us on time in the hotel lobby. We were delighted to discover a very comfortable car with leather seats and plenty of space. Our driver was incredibly helpful throughout the day: he helped us buy shuttle bus tickets and then cable car tickets to go up to the Great Wall. He also kindly arranged a reservation at a local restaurant where we had a delicious meal. He even provided us with bottled water. Very conveniently, we had a GPS which allowed him to easily find us at the end of the excursion. What a wonderful day thanks to our driver!

5.00We booked a driver for our journey to and back from Jinshanling section of the Great Wall where we were staying overnight. Excellent communication with Benny’s pre booking and prior to our drivers arrival. Our driver, Master Duan, arrived on time, was very polite and helpful. His car was spacious, clean and comfortable - he even provided water and fruit for our journeys, thoughtful and appreciated. We communicated via a translation ap. He offered to arrange our daily entry tickets & cable car rides (going rate) which made for a smooth and easy experience. Thank you and we would definitely recommend using Benny’s and our driver, Master Duan.
