The tour is a bit Crystal was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, engaging, and kept the day running smoothly. Visiting the DMZ is something I think is well worth doing if you’re in South Korea, as it provides a fascinating insight into the history and ongoing tensions on the Korean Peninsula. That said, the overall experience does feel quite touristy. It’s also worth knowing that you don’t get particularly close to the famous JSA, which may disappoint some visitors. However, this isn’t a limitation of this specific tour. Current access restrictions apply to all DMZ tours, so it’s not something the operator can control. Overall, I’d recommend the tour, especially thanks to Crystal’s excellent guiding. Just go with realistic expectations about how much of the border you’ll actually be able to see.
