What To Expect
Thamel
Thamel is the starting point of the tour. A vibrant tourist centre, it has everything from hotels to restaurants to shops, spa, clubs, you name it. You will board your rickshaw at Thamel and continue to Asan.
Asan
Located in the heart of Kathmandu, Asan is a historic marketplace where you can find virtually anything you want, ranging from spices and herbs to electronics and clothing. Usually crowded with shoppers, Asan also speckled with occasional temples and ancient monuments on the street sides. Here stop by to and look around as you stand in front of Annapurna Temple, temple the Goddess of abundance, where Anna stands for Food and Purna, stands for Fulfil. Along the ally you will stop by different temples such at Seto Machindranath, also known as Janabaha Dyo, a deity worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhists in Kathmandu, and Aakash Bhairab First King in Nepal Bhasa , known as King Yalambar You will ride your rickshaw through the narrow streets of Asan to reach Kathmandu Durbar Square.

4.00Lovely to experience kathmandu in the evening and by rickshaw. Guide was very knowledge and informative. Enjoyed learning the history and seeing old kathmandu as well. Dunbar square was a highlight.

4.00The tour was a great experience and a wonderful way to know Thamel and Durbar Square if you are new to Nepal. The rickshaw ride itself is so safe and the driver is a very jovial and supportive person. The tour guide is wonderful - she is chirpy, talkative and full of wonderful stories about Kathmandu and the culture. She gives you time to roam around personally too, and answers any questions. Durbar square is a beautiful place even at night - lively, cultural, and not very touristy - you get to see a slice of how locals in Kathmandu spend their weekends. Highly recommend.

5.00I had a great time on this tour. Exploring Kathmandu by night on a rickshaw was a really fun and interesting way to see the city, and it showed me places I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. The atmosphere in the evening was lively without feeling overwhelming, and it was fascinating to see the temples and squares in a totally different light. My guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer questions – which made the experience even better. Overall, an enjoyable way to discover Kathmandu.
