Barbican, Museum of Krakow
Step back in time at the Barbican in Krakow, a magnificent medieval fortress that once safeguarded the city. Constructed in the late 15th century, this remarkable circular bastion is a testament to Krakow's rich history and military prowess. Seven towering turrets and thick brick walls encircle a spacious courtyard, offering a glimpse into the past. Today, the Barbican hosts historical reenactments, exhibitions, and cultural events. A visit here unveils the architectural grandeur and defensive ingenuity that have defined Krakow for centuries.
St. Florian's Gate
Discover the storied past of Krakow at St. Florian's Gate, the city's most iconic medieval tower. Constructed in the 14th century, this imposing Gothic gate once served as a crucial part of Krakow's defensive walls. Adorned with a Baroque roof and intricate details, it stands 33.5 meters tall, offering a striking contrast to the modern cityscape. Walk through the gate to enter the bustling Royal Route, and imagine the historic processions that once passed beneath its arch. St. Florian's Gate is a timeless symbol of Krakow's architectural heritage and enduring spirit.

Already tried in the past in another city this experience that I consider valid, interesting and feasible on foot for all the proposed stages. You can pause and restart and listen to the description whenever you want. In addition, the application allows you to take special framed photos ( souvenir style ). Unfortunately it causes extremely cold temperatures ( -14oC ) we could not take advantage of the experience. That's too bad. Recommended for convenience of use.

Found this audio guide by chance and was astonished by how cool it is. Especially when the Cristmas market in Krakow is on. I was able to delve into the history and culture of the city without a hint of boredom. The stories are really engaging! Now, after this walk it feels like I truly understand what the local life is like. Thanks!

Good way to get familiar with the Old Town of Krakow on your own. It's a little cumbersome to figure out how to navigate to the places relying on google maps and the app - may be better if you download the maps before you start out?
