One of our most popular tours: Luxemburg is certainly a modern and vibrant city with a rich history and impressive ancient and contemporary architecture. In the old part of Luxembourg, our guide will take you to the cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke and the Place d’Armes. In downtown Luxembourg you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Kirchberg district, home to several European institutions. In the valley, you will be able to see a trail of the Casemates, the abbey of Neumünster, the city walls and the picturesque sites along the river Alzette.
After some free time in the city, you will explore the quaint town of Dinant, with its fifteenth century collegial church and its impressive citadel. Dinant’s name originates from the Celtic “Divo Nanto”, which means “Sacred Valley”. This little town is dramatically perched on the narrow banks of the River MeuseI. This is the cradle of the Leffe beer and the birth place of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone.

Value for Money yes. I would recommend if you are in a time crunch but I really would have liked more time at Luxembourg. So if dont mind solo travel its quite easy to take a direct train from midi and spend the entire day at Luxembourg city. If I had the time I would have done the Wenzel circular walk(5.5K). I would also skip the walking tour provided by the guide. Not that it want good, it's just that we were on a time crunch and the speaking tour was in english and in spanish which obviously took longer. Nice guide and safe driver though. I think their names were Arianna and Mehmet

I thought the trip was worthwhile. During the summer months, I would recommend extending the trip an hour as it does not get dark until 9. This would give the group more time in Dinant. I would have loved more time in Dinant to explore and take pictures and have a drink. Otherwise, the trip was great! Jan's story telling added to the trip and filled the time on the way to the locations.

Our guide was friendly and super informative. The location of the tour was lovely and the recommendations she gave us were spot on. Our biggest disappointment was that it was a bilingual tour and we didn’t know that ahead of time so it was a bit frustrating to stand and hear everything twice.

As a solo traveler this was a great option for me to see two places in one day while still based in Brussels. The bus was comfortable. Our guide spoke English and Spanish, but it was evident that Spanish was his mother tongue and he always started in Spanish and then segued into English.

We lucked out with the best guide we could’ve asked for. From the moment we left, everything was organized down to the minute — smooth transport (Giuseppe), perfect timing at each stop, and no wasted time. What really stood out was the depth of knowledge. We got the big-picture history of Luxembourg’s fortifications and EU district, plus little stories you’d never find in a guidebook. In Dinant, the insights on the Citadel, the saxophone connection, and the best spot for a quick couque de Dinant made it special. Informative without being overwhelming, friendly without being forced, and genuinely passionate about both places. If you want a day trip that’s equal parts fun and educational, ask for Stefan. Thank you for a perfect day! 😊
