Magic Dolphin Eco is the only purpose built dolphin & whale watching catamaran in Madeira Island with hybrid-electric engines. It was specially developed to assure our passengers a safe, comfortable and exceptional tour. Its hybrid-electric engines reduce noise and emissions making it the best experience not only for our guests, but also for our beloved cetaceans!
There are two levels for the best viewing, four trampoline nets located at the bow of the boat, two bathrooms and two bars where you can purchase drinks and snacks.
Our crew of certified guides are there to ensure everyone the best possible experience. They share their knowledge about the species we encounter, the history of Madeira and the local highlights.

What To Expect
Cruise on our 2022 purpose-built Eco-friendly catamaran and enjoy a comfortable tour along the southern coast of Madeira Island. Our spotters on land use binoculars to find the animals and direct the boat right to them. When sea life arrives our hybrid-electric engines engage for silent emission free cruising which helps keep the cetaceans very happy! Our certified guides will provide you with informative commentary and fun facts about the cetaceans and different species that you may see. On our way back, we sail close to the coast passing by many points of interest that may include: • Cabo Girão - the 2nd highest sea cliff in the world (time permitting you can go for a quick swim) • Camara de Lobos Bay – a traditional fishing village • World famous Reid’s Hotel where Winston Churchill and high profile celebs stayed during visits to Madeira Island • Enjoy views of our paradise island in comfort and style

5.00A lovely trip out: managed to see some spotted dolphins and a turtle, and have a swim in the ocean. The ship took us to the east side of the island before turning round and heading to the west side! The guys on board were very knowledgeable and knew their stuff. I would highly recommend this trip, and appreciate the beauty that lives in the oceans

5.00The boat left on time, group size was good, boat wasn’t over crowded. All crew were super friendly and informative. For the first half of the trip, when going against waves the boat was bit rocky so if you get seasick easily, might want to prepare yourself. We saw dolphins and whales, and beautiful views of the island.

5.00During our stay in Funchal also made a trip with a large catamaran from Sea Born to spot dolphins. Beautiful boat with ample seating. Trip takes 3 hours. The owner/guide had time for a chat for everyone and gave information about the dolphins we spotted. On board opportunity to buy drinks and snacks. At the height of Gabo Girao opportunity to take a refreshing dip. Nice trip.
