Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

What To Expect
Please arrive 30 minutes early for your tour so that you can be prepared to start at the designated tour time. We strive to start our tours on time. Come in and shop for any last minute essentials. Our guide will welcome you, complete any paperwork, and get you fitted for a life jacket. We have changing rooms and showers for afterwards. This is where the adventure begins and ends. We are very fortunate to be located on some of the best paddling waters in the Upper Keys area.

1.00Nah. Boring. Go elsewhere. Do your research especially if you are beginner because you will be competing with boats and sometimes currents in the water. Guide was awful and left people behind.
Take a kayak if you can’t stand to paddleboard!

4.00Was nice took a paddle board and wish I would have taken a kayak. The paddle boards don’t have backs on them so I started to get sore as I can’t balance well to stand which would have been more comfortable once out of mangroves. The gentleman behind me I was worried wasn’t going to make it as he was so sore and uncomfortable and couldn’t paddle well on the paddle board . I would recommend taking a kayaking if you can sit and are ok ducking under trees a bit in the mangroves. My legs wouldn’t have cramped as much in a kayak. Our guide was very nice shared great facts with us.

2.00The trip itself was average. It’s a kayak. We saw mangroves. But not a great trip to see much. The biggest issue was there were 14 people with one guide. Way too many to enjoy the trip.

4.00Very friendly staff. Had a great time. You will spend your time paddling down a canal. Then up a creek overgrown with mangroves. Which is unique and fun. I'd tell you to not get your hopes up on seeing a Manatee. Manatees aren't likely in the area very much anymore for a variety of environmental reasons. I'd say Mangroves and Manatees is more of a name for the company. Chance if seeing a Manatee, if I had to guess, less than a 5 percent chance.

5.00Beautiful and peaceful paddling your kayak through the mangroves. We saw some birds, crabs, orbe weaver spider, no manatees though. Our tour guide Matt waa so nice and funny!

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking trip through the mangroves. The staff was professional and helpful. It was nice that there is a place to stash your keys prior to kayaking. Matt. our guide suggested we try paddle boards rather than kayaks and we appreciated his suggestion, we really enjoyed sitting on the paddle boards. Matt was patient and knowledgeable. The office is adjacent to some nice local eateries.
