Abadia De Montserrat

After the picking up, in our first day I will drive you to the spectacular Montserrat Sanctuary, located about 1h from the city center of Barcelona. I will explain you the history of this place, famous because Our Lady of Montserrat (880) and the Montserrat's abbey (1025). Furthermore we will take lots of pictures together and we will try the traditional cheese called 'mató' which is usually eaten with some honey. If you are fit we can even hike a bit to the Saint Michael Cross where we can take the best pictures of Montserrat. At 11 o'clock is the daily mass in the church (optional) and at 1 o'clock from Monday to Friday and at 12 pm on Sundays the boys from the choire will sing 'Our Father', 'Salve Regina' and 'El Virolai'. We will get a nice lunch in the valley near Montserrat, where we will try some local food 'vegetables' and 'meat'.

Santuari de Meritxell

After the lunch we will drive to Andorra, to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady Meritxell, Patron Saint of Andorra. If it is too late we may visit Meritxell the following day. The Old Sanctuary was burnt in 1972 but the architect Ricardo Bofill built a new sanctuary in 1976. The evening/night will be free for you. Andorra is popular because the shopping and also it is a nice balnearium called 'Caldea'. I will help you in case you want to spend a couple of hours in Caldea before going to bed. I will also recommended you where to have dinner.

Mirador del Roc del Quer

After the breakfast in the hotel, I will show you the best of Andorra. It will be quite flexible depending your interests. We can see the mountains, have a short hiking, visiting a nice old town or having a look to some romanesque andorran churches from X century. In case we arrived to Andorra too late the first day we will see Meritxell in the morning of the 2nd day.

Sanctuaire Notre Dame De Lourdes

We will arrive to the hotel and I will let you free time for resting, going to the daily procession, visiting the basilica, visiting the groote, etc. I will help you in introducing you to Lourdes, especially if it is your first time. Remember that except in cold months, every night at 9 pm there is a procession(of the torches) in the esplanate.

Sanctuaire Notre Dame De Lourdes

Morning free for the last shopping, mass, and so. We will meet just after the lunch at 2.30 pm to come back to Barcelona.

Santuario de Torreciudad

We can add one or two more marian sanctuaries (Torreciudad, El Pilar) in our itinerary. Just contact with me after booking and we will try to fit them.

Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar

For the ones to prefer adding an extra or 2 extra days (up to 5) we can reach 'El Pilar', another marian sanctuary included in the Marian Routes. El Pilar is the patron saint of the Hispanity. The 'Basilica del Pilar' is located in Zaragoza, a city founded by the romans more than two thousand years ago and according to the legend the places where apostle Saint James watched Virgin Mary on top of a pillar.
