A group of us took this excursion during our cruise, and it turned out to be a stress-free way to see Marseille. Everything was clearly explained, and we didn’t have to think about logistics at all. The highlight for us was the viewpoints overlooking the city and the sea. It was a great opportunity to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere. We also appreciated having time to explore a bit independently rather than sticking strictly to a schedule. The pace was comfortable for our group, and we never felt rushed between stops. It was a pleasant and easy day overall.

I booked this walking tour alone on May 24, 2026, during a short trip to Florence. From the beginning, the guide Francesca made everyone feel comfortable and included. I appreciated how efficiently she navigated busy areas while still giving enough time for photos and questions. The historical explanations added a lot of value and helped me understand the city beyond the usual tourist attractions.

My friends and I booked this during our spring trip and it ended up being one of the easier, more enjoyable days we had. The guide balanced history and humor really naturally, which kept the tour engaging. The group size was manageable and we never felt rushed between stops. Some streets were crowded later in the day, but that’s expected in popular areas. Comfortable shoes are definitely recommended.

Went on this experience with three friends on May 19, 2026. Our guide Sofia was clearly passionate about the city and answered questions thoughtfully throughout the tour. The group size was manageable and we never felt packed together like some of the larger tours nearby. One stop felt slightly rushed because of timing, but overall the experience was very smooth and enjoyable.

Followed instructions and no Tour found. Messaged operator and no reply and called with no answer. They called and after telling us it was a white bus in poor english and talking to multiple couples they hung up. We missed tour and instead of any sympathy from viator we were fully charged. We will keep this policy in mind for future bookings and want people to know they may be paying and receiving just the 4000 steps looking for the tour.

I joined this tour solo on April 27, 2026, and was impressed by how much local knowledge the guide provided. The tour moved at a comfortable pace and included several smaller streets and hidden corners I would never have found independently. It’s worth bringing a light hat because there’s limited shade during parts of the walk.

We joined this tour as a family in May 2026 and had a really enjoyable day overall. Our guide, Sofia, clearly knew the city extremely well and shared details we definitely would have missed on our own. The pace was comfortable even with children, and the smaller streets were honestly more interesting than the major tourist areas. It was warm during the afternoon, so definitely bring water and something for the sun.

We had to walk about 3/4 of a mile from our ship to the bus in the rain. Tour guide and times was difficult to hear. Provence and Marseille tours were ok

This tour showed us exactly why the city has such a unique character, gritty and gorgeous at the same time, and guide explained perfectly accordingly to the group. We came expecting nice and left expecting highly motivated.

The guide was fairly proficient in English, but Occasionally he would unintentionally switch to French, which was endearing. I believe Gabriella was a teacher, she was well versed in both geology and pirate history. Overall, though, it was a great morning, and I would suggest it to anyone like me who is visiting Marseille for the first time.
