North End
The North End Boston Food Tour explores the heart of Boston’s Little Italy and introduces the charm and allure of the rich history, vibrant culture, and tantalizing aromas that define this neighborhood. This tour shares stories of its immigrant past, cultural evolution, and the role it played in shaping Boston’s identity. Learn about the festivals, events, and traditions that contribute to its lively atmosphere. We will capture the essence of community celebrations and the warmth that permeates the area and unveil lesser-known gems within Little Italy – charming alleyways, art installations, or tucked-away spots that offer a more intimate experience. We will venture off the beaten path to the mom and pop shops that are still a big part of this neighborhood and we will provide practical advice for those planning a visit to the North End’s Little Italy, including the best times to explore, recommended dishes to try, and any upcoming events. I’m a lifelong local and guide all tours.

Bobby was a great host to my Mom, sister, and I on our first trip to Boston. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to hear about the stories of the beautiful North End from someone who grew up there during its golden age. Bobby shared personal stories and images bringing us back in time as we tasted the incredible food of his hometown! In our group of 16 we were able to move throughout the North End, hear about the history of the area, get recommendations for our remaining time in Boston as well as meet local business owners. Something that enriched our experience was the stories and people Bobby told our group about. He shared a precious history that is kept alive with his tours. My Mom is deaf in one ear and was worried about missing stories or descriptions but had no trouble as Bobby projected his voice. I have a tree-nut allergy I included in my reservation. I expected to skip some dishes but Bobby made sure to provide a nut free alternative. I would recommend this tour for mother daughter groups, visitors, and people with big appetites! You will experience sweet, salty, history, and community. I hope you enjoy!

Tour guide was attentive and friendly while sharing intimate details of life in the north end. Tour touched on history of the north end from first hand accounts of the tour guide growing up there. Tour included several stops at local restaurants and shops showcasing the Italian heritage of food and life there. Definitely would recommend to others! Five star all day every day!

We had an amazing food tour with Bobby! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious – we enjoyed everything from authentic pizza and fresh pasta to high-quality olive oil, limoncello, and the best cannoli. Every stop was carefully chosen and offered a true taste of Boston's Italian food scene. What made the tour even more special were the interesting historical facts and stories Bobby shared along the way. It was the perfect combination of fantastic food and fascinating local history. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Boston. Thank you, Bobby, for such a memorable experience!

The North End food tour is amazing! Bobby is a Boston treasure. Having grown up in the North End, Bobby offers a highly personal and colorful narrative of the evolution of this important and beloved Boston neighborhood, with inside stories you won’t hear anywhere else. People passing the tour stop to say hello, and you may run into his family members on the tour! The food is amazing! Pizza, pasta, lemon Italian ice, arancini, olive oil and balsamic, Italian sandwiches, and more! And of course cannoli to top it all off! Bobby gets you inside access to some of the North End’s most beloved long time family establishments. It’s a wonderful – and delicious – oral history of this charming neighborhood! We’ve done the tour twice now and I would do it again!
