Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very flexible. She made well informed suggestions for popular and also lesser known sites to visit. Our touring experience was tailored to our specific preference for Neolithic archaeological sites. Reanne was very personable and knows the Orkneys well. She seemed to enjoy showing us around her "home town". Driving about the countryside with her was relaxed and quite enjoyable. It would be useful to have some sites in mind and note their position on a map of Orkney. Although the island is small, it is best to choose sites that are grouped closer together so as not to waste time transitioning from site to site.
