5.00It was one of the most beautiful experiences I had on my four-month journey through South and Central America! It was a journey to a volcano, but also a journey that everyone experienced for themselves. I was able to gather experiences, learn to understand myself better, and had the courage to go beyond boundaries. The tour was very well organized, and the tour guides were very helpful and very friendly! Angel, one of the guides, always had a good sense for the group, adjusted the pace, motivated the group, and explained a lot to us. He was always open to questions, and we could laugh a lot with him. I really liked his way! I wish the guides all the best for their future! Emilia

1.00Very bad experience. We started the excursion with an extra person who did not have a seat in the van due to the guide's decision; despite us telling him, he did not care and squeezed four people into a three-person seat, which is unsafe. During the excursion, the guide Felipe was unable to keep the group together, constantly changing the pace despite complaints from several group members. Once we arrived at the camp, we were crammed into a barrack meant for 8-10 people with 14 people (there were 3 barracks in the camp); despite expressing our discomfort, he proposed no solution. During the descent of the excursion to the fire, the guide was not attentive to the group, and we had to keep an eye on each other. Again, on the way back, he forced us to have one more person in the van (we had already said we did not think it was right on the way there; a solution could have been arranged for the return), and the driver insulted us because of our nationality. DO NOT HIRE THIS AGENCY FOR ANYTHING.

1.00AGENCY NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL: 1) They offer more spots than available both in the vehicle to reach the starting point and in the cabins, which are set up for 8-10, but we slept 14. 2) The guide (Felipe) was unprofessional in both the technical aspects of the mountain, group management, and problem-solving. 3) Very rude in the office when receiving complaints. The experience of the excursion is beautiful, but one must consider who they are going with since it is a high mountain excursion.

4.00Big Mama was an excellent guide throughout our Acatenango hike. My wife wasn’t feeling well on the way up, which made the hike take longer for her than it normally would, but he remained incredibly patient the entire time. He never rushed her and constantly encouraged and motivated her to keep going. Once we reached base camp, he continued checking on her to make sure she was doing okay, and he even followed up the next day. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for the well-being of everyone in the group made a big difference in our experience. We truly appreciated having him as our guide and would highly recommend him to anyone hiking Acatenango.
If you book, do it with Franklin!!!

5.00The most spectacular experience. The guide Jonathan was excellent, he was very patient, encouraged us, and was very kind. Although I said I would not do it again, he showed that I can, and if I do it again, I would like to have the same experience with the same guide, Jonathan.

5.00What an amazing experience!!!! Rember and Melvin were incredible guides and made us feel safe and had so much fun. This hike was not easy which lent it to being such an unforgettable experience! I HIGHLY recommend this tour
