There are several companies that provide day-long tours from Sedona to the Grand Canyon, but we picked Pink Jeep tours because they provided “roomy Captain’s chairs” for their patrons on this tour. Spending the 10 hour day in comfortable seating is that important to us. When the door opened to our van, however, it held three rows of hard, unyielding bench seats. Although Lori was an excellent driver, guide, companion, escort, problem solver, suggestion-maker and docent during our entire tour, every time the five of us returned to the van after our many stops we came back to those uncomfortable seats. Lori gets a five for doing a superb job. Pink Jeep Tours gets a 1 for not providing what they promised.

My wife and I decided to take the "Premier" Pink Jeep Tour from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. I have to say that it was a smart decision. Aside from the tour being everything we expected what made it even better was our bus driver/tour guide Kelly. She pointed out and explained many things along the way that we wouldn't have learned about had we driven there ourselves. She was knowledgeable in many aspects of the area and very personable. Overall she was excellent. The day prior to our tour I received a call from Pink Jeep to confirm our reservation and what we had selected for our lunch and verified the time we would be picked up at our hotel. The people operating the Pink Jeep Tours are courteous and professional. We would, highly, recommend them.

Unfortunately, with Pink Jeep --> it's all about the Driver and if you get a bad one, then you have a lousy time. The drivers are allowed to design their own tours, which is not necessarily what Pink Jeep Advertises OR what you think you are paying for ahead of time. YOU CAN NOT BELIEVE the descriptions on their webpage, because the Drivers are allowed to do whatever they want. Some will do a "tour" and some will just "drive you". For the Grand Canyon Tour --> It would have been cheaper for us to rent a towncar and driver than to use Pink Jeep. What we received was NOT what was on their website and what we paid $185/per person for. For our TEN HOUR "Tour", We were stuffed inside a small van with little AC, no drinkable water (we were offered luke warm water out of a dirty cooler), our driver rarely stopped, and was on his cellphone for the majority of the time he was driving. Thank Goodness for Google, so we could self-educated ourselves on the tour, because our "Driver" was NOT a TOUR GUIDE, who offered us any information.... unless you count how he doesn't like people following his tour van thinking they will get a free tour and enjoys "faking them out with his blinker". We had to experience that three times on our tour. PACK YOUR OWN LUNCH - because there are very few places to eat at the Grand Canyon. We were under the impression that our "tour" came with a lunch because we had preordered them --> what we got, in the words of our driver was "this is what is left, it's all there is to eat" VERY SCARY DRIVE as the driver was so distracted on his phone while driving that TWICE, he HIT the person in the passenger seat because he didn't give himself enough time to get over before having to exit. ** I reached out to Pink Jeep and was given $20 off my two tours of $185/each --> I do not consider that a "resolution", but they do. **

Chris was hands-down one of the best tour guides we have ever had! He had a wide breadth of knowledge and his ability to tell a story were outstanding. He was obviously well-read, and even read us a passage about the grand canyon while we were standing at the rim. His historical perspective was amazing! We had the BEST day!!!! From start to finish a perfect tour. The vehicle was immaculate. The water, food, etc. was perfect. Very professional. No issues at all. Must do for anyone. We did the Sedona-Grand Canyon 10 hour tour....

Our guide added to the fun by bringing his telescope for close up views of different parts of the canyon. He was a wealth of information . Very considerate of the people he was sharing the day with.

We were unable to attend this tour. :( My husband woke up the morning of the tour with severe back muscle spasms and passed a kidney stone the next day. We hope to take the tour the next time we visit Sedona. Thank you.

Joaquin Fox was our tour guide and he was awesome. He taught us about the Navajo Nation, because he camps and fishes on their lands (pays their permit fee and uses their Native Guide). I learned a lot and now am completely intrigued. He also knew a lot about the history of Sedona and the Grand Canyon. He even showed us fossils at the rim of the canyon. He talked about camping on the Navajo lands and rafting down the Colorado River. Joaquin described the night sky in its full glory, when you are miles away from light pollution. This is now on my bucket list. The tour bus was completely safe and comfortable. I was so grateful that Joaquin did the driving in the canyons leading out of Sedona. The viewing spots were spectacular.

We took this tour on 10/27/20. Our guide was Jeff and he was awesome. He was a real outdoorsman who had first hand knowledge of the area. They picked use up at our hotel in a very nice 12 passenger Mercedes Sprinter van. They limited the capacity of the van so we only had 1 other couple with us. We made 2 stops on the drive up for bathroom breaks and coffee. Jeff knew that my wife was interested in purchasing a pair of cowboy boots so he made a stop at at a place that had an amazing selection of local items including a great selection of boots. Our fist view of the canyon was something I will never forget. No picture can ever do justice to what it is like to be there. Jeff did a great job of educating us on the history of the canyon. Next we stopped at the El Tovar hotel and gift shops. There he left us for about 1.5 hours to eat our lunch (included with trip) and walk around the and see canyon . Our last stop was to one of the only lookout where you can actually see the Colorado River. It was call Lipid Point. I would have never seen this if it wasn't for our guide. Awesome views. Over all it is about a 10 hour day and WELL worth it.

Guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon, lots of tips, information, etc.. He requested we not look @ the Canyon until he told us, but keep looking down. Great advice, once we were close to the railing, and he told us to look up, it was just breathtaking. Can't explain it, you just have to experience the grandeur of the Grand Canyon. Well worth the entire cost/trip for just that initial look. Took us around for a few other views, gave us plenty of time to drink in the views and just experience the Grand Canyon... Vehicle was very comfortable, never felt anything but safe. Tour Guide also recommended some various "easy" hikes around Oak Creek that turned out to be some of our favorite hikes (West Fork). How could it have been better: 1) Wish they could stop (traffic/safety permitting) for wildlife. 2) Keep the political opinions/hints out of the trip, we get enough of that crap everywhere else.
