Chronicles Of Georgia
The Chronicles of Georgia is a very famous monument near the Tbilisi Sea. It is also called the "Georgian Stonehenge." It is a massive structure made of big stone pillars. The monument shows the history of Georgia. You can see many carvings on the stone. Some carvings show the life of Jesus Christ, and others show important people and stories from Georgian history. It is a beautiful place to visit. It is very high, so you can see a great view of the Tbilisi Sea and the city. It is a perfect place to learn about the country's past and take amazing photos.
Ananuri fortress complex
Next stop will be Ananuri fortress , fortress situated on the foreland by the Aragvi River, not far from Zhinvali water reservoir and about 70 km from Tbilisi, Georgia. It was built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list. The fortress consist of two fortifications joined by a crenellated curtain wall. The upper fortification with a large square tower, known as Sheupovari, is well-preserved. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles.
