What To Expect
Thingvellir National Park
Thingvellir National Park is a must-see attraction & recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is located on the Golden Circle route . The park is situated in a rift valley where the Eurasian & North American tectonic plates meet, making it one of the only places in the world where you can see two continents drifting apart. It is also the site where Iceland's parliament, Althing, was founded in 930 AD, making it one of the oldest functioning parliaments in the world. You will reach to park to after a comfortable drive of 1 hour. Visitors to Thingvellir National Park can explore the park's stunning landscape, which includes a large lake, waterfalls, and volcanic rock formations. The park offers a range of activities for tourists, such as hiking, fishing, & diving in the Silfra fissure, where you can swim between two tectonic plates. Visitors Center at Park offers interactive exhibition which educates visitors about Iceland's ancient history & park's geological significance.
Site de Geysir
Geysir Geothermal Area is a must-visit attraction known for its bubbling hot springs & spouting geysers. Leaving out Thingvellier National Park , it will drive of almost 45 mins The Strokkur Geysir is the most active geyser in the area, erupting every few minutes & reaching heights of up to 30 meters. What makes Strokkur Geysir unique is its predictability, as it erupts regularly and consistently. Visitors can anticipate the eruption by observing the pre-eruption bubbling & steam rising from the pool. The geyser's explosive display is a thrilling sight to witness and capture on camera. Aside from watching Strokkur Geysir erupt, visitors can explore the geothermal area & observe the various hot springs and steam vents. The surrounding landscape is otherworldly, with colorful mineral deposits and bubbling mud pools. There are also facilities in the area, including a visitor center, restaurants.

Fabulous private Golden Circle tour

5.00Tomas our guide was amazing. I booked this private tour with Icelandic tours direct with Sultan. Tomas used what’s app to communicate and arrived spot on time at our apartment pick up point. We went to the national park. Where there are set walks through the stunning cliffs and views. We had a couple of non walkers in our group that throughout the trip Tomas showed them to see the sights and then headed back to the car. We then walked and met them at an another point, allowing us to walk more. (We did this at each spot) We then headed to gullfoss, a waterfall not to miss. Fabulous views and sounds, even an amazing rainbow. Then headed to geysir hot springs. We had lunch here, really good selection in the coffee/cafe part. On the way back he even did a stop at the Grater which was not on our schedule. It was great to have a personal tour guide and he educated us on many topics of Iceland which was an added bonus. If you need a personal tour to accommodate to individual needs. Look no further.

5.00It was a great tour, that's will remains in pleasurable memories, had great fun due to island paradise tour operators, the stay was very friendly and cooperative, specially the tour guide Adee is very funny guy, he just doubled our fun. Northern lights was awesome. At first day of Arora lights tour there was nothing to watch on sky, that was really disappointing but thanks to the tour company for rearranged the Northern lights tour again for us without charge us a single extra penny. Thank to treat us like a family and adding extra memorable moments in our boring lifes. Highly recommend 5/5 👌
