I am Simone Vergamini, "Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2023, 3rd place at the Best Sommelier of Italy 2018, 2021 and 2022. We can organize the tasting directly at your home or at the hotel where you are on holiday, even in the center of Lucca or on the neighboring hills.
The experience always includes an introduction to wine tasting, the history of the territory and wineries.5 wines accompanied by bread, cheese and oil from local production. These are wines selected from small producers, mainly organic certified

I'll take care of everything and you won't have to think about anything!
I will set the table with tasting tablecloths and serve you wines in professional glasses!
At the end of the tasting I will leave the bottles uncorked (if not finished :) so you can enjoy them during the holiday.

What To Expect
I am Simone Vergamini, "Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2023, 3rd place at the Best Sommelier of Italy 2018, 2021 and 2022. We can organize the tasting directly at your home or at the hotel where you are on holiday in the city, or in the surrounding hills (within a radius of 15 km from the city center, for longer distances may be charged a supplement) The experience always includes an introduction to wine tasting, the history of the territory and wineries. We will then move on to the tasting of 5 wines accompanied by bread, cheese and oil from local production. These are wines selected from small producers, mainly organic certified, in love with their work and the territory. We can organize the tasting directly at your home or at the hotel where you are on holiday, even in the center of Lucca. I'll take care of everything and you won't have to think about anything! I will set the table with tasting tablecloths and serve you wines in professional glasses! At the end of the tasting I will leave the bottles uncorked (if not finished :) so you can enjoy them during the holiday.

Beyond his expertise, he was personable, warm, and a pleasure to spend the evening with. He created a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged conversation and questions, and his passion for the wines and the region was evident throughout. My guests are visiting from abroad, and this tasting was unanimously named the highlight of their trip. A talented and knowledgeable sommelier, he gave an instructive and really helpful overview of the local wine region with tastings of 5 different wines that clearly illustrated the characteristics of each wine. His presentation was engaging and he welcomed all of our questions. I would highly recommend a tasting session with Simone.

5.00We had Simone come to our Villa outside of Lucca for a wine tasting for a group of 16 of us. He put so much care and thoughtfulness into the experience, making it a highlight of our trip. With such a big group + small children, having him come to the house made it very easy, and the experience and setup were beyond our expectations. Thanks again!
