The tour begins base nearby the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in South Iceland. We start by going over the tour plan and safety instructions. From the base we cross some small rivers and head down to the black lava sands fields which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. Down by the black beach we stop and enjoy the amazing view up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the coast to the southernmost part of Iceland, the small peninsula Dyrhólaey. We then head along the coast to the famous aircraft wreck, from there we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of the mountain. Upon our return we follow the mountain back to the base. The ATV experience itself lasts approximately 2 hours. You will ride 2 people per ATV, with one driving and one as a passenger. If you are traveling alone, or in an odd-numbered group (3, 5, 7 etc.) there is an additional charge payable locally for single riders. The adventure will provide stunning photo opportunities in good weather, so don't forget to bring your camera! You will be provided with everything you need for a safe and comfortable ride. No ATV experience is required to take part and the skill level for this activity is deemed as 'easy'.

We had an amazing time on the quad tour! It was a very fun and exciting experience, with incredible views along the way. A special thank you to our guides, Pablo and Jordi, who were both fantastic. They were friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland. Thank you for such a great adventure!

We had an amazing time! The day could not have been better, the weather was awesome and the sights were spectacular. Our guide, Jordy was terrific, he gave us all clear instructions on how to drive the bikes and was truly gracious when he shared that our group was going to be delayed for reasons out of his control. I highly recommend this activity with this company. The drive on the black sand beaches was so cool and on the way back driving through the field of lush, fragrant purple flowers was such a treat. Even if you do not have experience on ATVs you should consider this - you won't be disappointed.

Jokor was a FANTASTIC guide for our quad bike beach tour. Just the perfect amount of “chill” and key storying telling/history!!!! He’s the best!

The guides were great! The tour is long! You drive through multiple rivers, mud, black sand beach, visit the plane wreck. The fastest I got to drive my ATV was 62mph. Most of the time we were going 25-30mph. It was a great experience!’

Our tour guide, Jordy, made this experience unforgettable. From the moment we started, he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind—he made us feel like we were part of Iceland’s history, not just visitors. We felt completely safe the entire time, which let us fully take in how unreal the experience was. Riding ATVs across the black sand, so close to the ocean, was honestly mind-blowing. One of those moments you don’t forget

This tour was something way out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to seek a new thrill. I was impressed by everyone's patience with me as a beginner and how I ended up being a little bit awkward in the beginning, but at the end, I was driving as fast as everyone else with ease and that's all because of the tour guide's skill and expertise at making the whole experience fun, enjoyable, and most importantly, safe.
