This small group tour in the heart of the Alpilles will introduce you to its heritage and its unique panorama.
It begins in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a village with typical Provencal charm.
You will stop at Les Antiques, Roman remains located at the entrance of the ancient city, then at the Monastery of Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, one of the last places of residence of Vincent van Gogh, who found a great source of inspiration.
You will then be taken to the Careers of Lights, former quarries transformed into a cultural site, where monumental projections bring the works of art to life.
The discovery will continue in Les Baux-de-Provence, a hilltop village classified among the most beautiful villages in France. Stroll through its alleys full of character, and enjoy some free time to soak up the places.
Finally, you will return to the road to end the day with a visit to the famous Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Passage through the site of the Antiques (photo stop), gateway to the ancient city of Glanum then stop in front of the Saint Paul Hospital of Mausole where Vincent Van Gogh stayed for nearly a year during which he found a great source of inspiration for his famous painting (passage without stop).

5.00I really enjoyed my time on the tour. Our guide was generous with her time and information. I highly recommend taking a tour as a solo traveler. You are in a friendly and safe environment with help exploring the region. I wish I had scheduled more at the beginning of my trip to learn more about Avignon and its many beautiful neighboring areas and to meet like travelers.
