Mozart Residence (Mozart Wohnhaus)

Mozart’s Residence was reconstructed after being partly destroyed during World War II and was re-opened to the public in 1996. The biographies of the family members and the authentic impressions of everyday family life fill the house with their spirit to this day and allow visitors to experience Mozart anew. In the historic Dancing Masters’s Hall, Mozart’s original instruments are on display. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to our challenge to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place.

The Mozartsteg is an Art Nouveau bridge for pedestrians in the city centre of Salzburg. It is locally well-known for its neat design and gained international "fame" by featuring in the Hollywood movie "The Sound of Music". The Mozartsteg was built until 1903. The project was initiated by a private association, the "Mozartstegverein". Here you will have to look around to find the answer to our challenge to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place.

  • 2 miles and 90 minutes - enjoyable and informative

I wasnt sure what this was but for $11 I thought it was worth a shot. It took me to 10 sites over 2 miles walking in about 90 minutes and it was fun and enjoyable and it was informative about Mozart. Its a great "intro" tour to key sites you can do on your own at your own pace. It helped me figure out sites where i are wanted to do a deeper dive, such as touring Mozart's residence and birth house. I would definitely look for this in other cities as an "intro" tour.

Fun experience with teens to learn the area right when we arrived. Made the next two days easier to walk around Salzburg knowing important landmarks.

What an amazing way of discovering a city, "you are lost" but at the same time "guided" and discovering as you walk. Really enjoyable

The support were very helpful and assisted us to get started. The Mozart game was fun, educational and a good way to explore some interesting back allies of Salzburg.

  • A rip-off!!!

Horrible, worthless experience. Questo is an incredibly difficult app to use. The app would not recognise the Viator booking reference despite following the directions supplied and the online support. Finally after well over a half-hour of frustration I found the page to take the BR#, and it said that it was invalid as code has already been used! That's it, ripped off of good money spent through Viator. Ended up following their trail for free using Google maps.

Game was interesting. One can learn about Mozart many not well known things. And get to know not well known places in Salzburg. If you combine it with visit of Mozart born place And the house where He stayed you get full packet of Mozart knowledge.

  • Discovery tour that leads to classically known and hidden places

That's great! You get across some hidden corners of the city of Salzburg. You can learn a lot about Mozart. The last two questions are more difficult. Pressed on the light bulb you get a helpful hint. Only on the one question on the bridge where it was about completing a word could be a minor system error. I didn't mind. Because without the game, I wouldn't have crossed that bridge. Also we could not have admired the panorama of the city from the Salzach. It was a discovery tour with classically known people (Gedreidegasse, Café Tomaselli) and the more not so known places of Salzburg.
