Come on our historical tour presented by Junket!
Colonial Williamsburg is a living history museum. We'll examine Williamsburg in its early colonial guise. You'll experience what it was like to reside in the colonial capital during a time when ruthless businesspeople, ruthless politicians, enslaved Africans, and possibly a few pirates walked these streets. Investigate the homes, business, places of government, and houses of worship that were integral to society in Colonial Williamsburg. Rewind to a period when the cries of emancipation reverberated through the halls of power and the murmurs of American independence hung thick in the air.

Public Hospital Museum
"Idiots, lunatics, and those of insane mind" were to be housed in this institution, according to its founding documents. Although conditions were frequently not much better than those in jails, several doctors tried to make things better for their patients. After the Civil War, the situation worsened once again, and in the 1890s, the original structure burned down.

William was by far the best tour guide we had during our 5-day visit to the area. He was highly articulate and drew from a very wide repertoire of historical and personal experiences during his anecdotal presentation. Whether part of his prearranged presentation or response to a question, his perspective was strongly based on a virtual library of personal knowledge and experiences. We highly recommend this enjoyable tour led by William.

Vince took us for a walk around the city and discussed history of a lot of buildings. He answered all of our questions about the life, construction, and families of the colonial and revolution era. We highly recommend this tour.

This two hour tour was well worth the time spent as it as very informative and an easy walk through Williamsburg. Since it starts at 10 am, parking is easy to find and convenient. There were limited tours, so I believe this one is well worth the cost. Tour guide Patrick was aa 40+ year highly knowledgeable and engaging person. There are optional bathroom stops if you request. I enjoyed this experience.

Great tour today with Vince! Full of interesting history, perfect length and the perfect weather day in williamsburg. My husband isn’t much for things like this but even he enjoyed today! Would recommend, if you want to see colonial Williamsburg but don’t want to spend all day exploring every building this is the “perfect highlights tour”

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and it was clear he truly loves history and what he does. That part was genuinely impressive. However, the pacing of the tour became a significant issue. He spent far too long at the meeting point, which is simply where the bus drops you off. Because our tour was the first of the day and the visitor center doesn’t open until 9:30, we were almost late checking in. Part of our group even had to go ahead to let the staff know we were still coming. At first, we assumed he was waiting for the rest of our party to catch up — but we quickly realized this was just his normal pace. By the time we reached the second stop, we were already 65 minutes into what was supposed to be a two‑hour tour. Much of that time was spent on extremely detailed explanations, personal stories and his connections to current Williamsburg residents, and long discussions about topics unrelated to early American history. He also focused heavily on unidentified remains beneath modern buildings, which felt more like ghost‑tour material than a historical overview. When we noticed his badge identified him as a Ghost Tour Guide, it made a lot more sense. Since we were only in town for the day and wanted to make the most of our time, our group ultimately decided to leave the tour at the second stop and explore on our own. He clearly has a passion for storytelling, but it may be better suited for the ghost tours rather than the daytime historical tour.

Vince was a passionate historian. The history covered was explained in a perfect manner! We learned information that we would not have known just by walking through Colonial Williamsburg…it was so much fun when he pointed out things I would never have even noticed or thought about! I highly recommend this tour for everyone looking to expand their knowledge!!! Thank you Vince!!!!
