Today we offer you the opportunity of discovering one of the less known areas of the eastern Algarve!
We propose an unforgettable visit to a salt pan where you will be able to see how the finest salt in Portugal is produced. Beyond this, you can appreciate the natural beauty of the Ria Formosa estuary.
Our next stop is Olhão. Here you have an opportunity to explore the famous market with its huge selection of fish.
After visiting the market in Olhão it is time to recharge your batteries enjoying a typical lunch in a Restaurant, where you will be delighted with the freshness of the fish served!
After lunch, we will pass by a tiny, traditional fishing village - Santa Luzia. There you will see the pots used to catch octopus - an ingenious device!
Our final stop is Tavira - the queen of the Algarve coastal towns. See the Arab fortress, the Roman Bridge dating from the IV century and visit at least some of the towns 22 churches!

A really enjoyable day out with a multi-lingual, multi-talented tour guide. Peter was very knowledgeable on lots of topics, including fauna and history.

Vasco was extremely generous and knowledgeable tour operator who provided fascinating information and made the whole day memorable and highly enjoyable. The visit to the salt pan was really interesting, lovely Olhao, the 2,300 year old tree, beautiful Tavira and other fascinating curiosities. Personally, I would have dispensed with the lunch which felt like a cost inflationary and time panning out strategy. I would have preferred to have visited another if the plentiful options on the East Side of the Algarve with the option for people to get their own brunch. However, the trip is still well worth doing and Vasco is highly recommended.

Even though we have been to the Algarve several times in the past and visited a couple of the towns in the tour, we learned many new and interesting things, visited a few locations we had never seen and had an excellent ‘typical’ Portuguese lunch. Vasco, our driver/guide was outstanding - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. The trip was well organized and paced. It was easy to arrange and the door-to-door pick-up was appreciated.

We wanted to see parts of the Algarve that we hadn’t visited before and are so glad we did, our guide Vasco was a mine of information. We visited a sea salt producer who uses eco friendly methods to produce salt, much more interesting than it sounds! We saw the Ria Formosa natural park then on to a couple of picturesque villages east of Faro. The included fresh fish meal was the best we have tasted. A really great day out with an excellent guide.

Definitely recommend this very nice trip to east Algarve. The guide Vasko was a wonderful narrator, gave us a lot of very interesting information, answered all of our questions. Very helpful and with great attitude. There is a lot to be seen in the east and Vasko did everything to show us most of its secrets. Lunch was delicious too.

An excellent guide and day long tour. Who would have thought that a visit to the salt pans would be interesting - just one of the stops on the way but entertaining and lots of facts. The lunch (fish) was also great. Vasco was informative and very funny too.
