What To Expect
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago. Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area. After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

Everything was perfect - communication leading up to the tour was clear, the tour guide, Snow, was incredible, and the driver negotiated the traffic with great calm and skill. We are very grateful to Snow who was just lovely to meet and talk to throughout the tour. She is very knowledgeable and shared many stories and insights about this beautiful and very old water village. We left the tour feeling like we have a new friend in Shanghai - Thank you, Snow!

The Kezhi gardens were so beaufitul, and we loved our gondala ride and very yummy famers lunch to our requests!

We learned so much about Chinese culture, and it truly felt like a real cultural lesson. Moreover, we enjoyed a delicious local dinner. 5.00Snow is a great guide. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Her English is also very good. We had a really fun day with her and the excellent driver. We finished the day with a lovely traditional dinner with Snow and had lots of laughs.

5.00Very late booking on the train to Shanghai. Excellent service from Alana with booking and pickup for 0830 the following day. A perfect half day tour to get out of the city and enjoy the former rural area of water and land only an hour from downtown. Kelvin was an excellent and knowledgable guide through Mr Ma family garden and water tour and market stalls. Great selection of local food and products. Very good transfer to and from. Highly recommend this 5hr trip.
