What To Expect
This square is the symbolic heart of Siena, deeply loved by locals who gather here to enjoy its lively yet timeless atmosphere. Framed by historic buildings, it sets the scene for our culinary journey. In a welcoming local setting, we’ll gather around a traditional Sienese chopping board, the true centerpiece of local conviviality, and enjoy a generous selection of locally produced cured meats and pecorino cheeses made from sheep’s milk of the surrounding countryside, ranging from delicately seasoned salumi to aged cheeses with deeper, more complex aromas, each shaped by land, climate, and time. As Italy is the homeland of wine, the hills surrounding Siena offer some of its most authentic expressions, and during the tasting you’ll sample carefully selected local wines that showcase different grape varieties, soils, and winemaking traditions, with each glass revealing the role wine plays in everyday Tuscan life and perfectly complementing the flavors on the board.

5.00We had a great food tour experience in Siena! Alex was our guide. In addition to knowing the food of the city, she also had extensive knowledge of the greater wine region that came in especially useful when we were selecting a bottle to bring home with us at the end of our tour. We had some “off menu” dishes that ended up being some of the best flavors of our trip. We toured other medieval cities on our own but the experience was less rich without someone guiding our path (and food). I highly recommend booking this tour when in Siena! Enjoy! Ciao!

We learned so much and also had such a fun time. I would recommend this tour with Alexandra to anyone who wants to learn more about Tuscan wines and local food. 5.00This tour was awesome! We traveled with friends (two couples) and the tour was us and one other person who became a fast friend! Our guide Jacapo was wonderful! He was local and knew all about local history and traditions. The food and wine was plentiful! In addition, the tour included lots of educational pieces about the food and wine of Siena! He also sent photos and other recommendations the next morning. Don’t hesitate to book this-so good! Great way to see and taste the history of Siena!
