It was beautiful to see the Earth in another light, cold(!), and relaxing. It takes a while to prepare the dry-suit fitting, we were the first and only group (of 5) in the water, it was cloudy but dry, and the water was tasty (yes, we drank it). Ilia(na) was the perfect guide for this first-time snorkeling adventure!! Makes the best photos (yes, we checked afterwards), and was very helpful and relaxed in the water. Again, it was cold, but if you want to see still life (not fishes or movement) of Iceland in gletsjer-water, you should try this.

Snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure was absolutely unforgettable — easily one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had in Iceland. The water was unbelievably clear, the scenery beneath the surface felt otherworldly, and floating between two continental plates is something you truly have to experience to believe. What made the tour exceptional was our guide, Nico. From the moment we arrived, he was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. He made everyone feel comfortable and confident in the water, explained everything clearly, and brought such a fun, positive energy to the entire experience. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion made the adventure even more memorable. Nico also took amazing care of the group, making sure everyone felt safe while still keeping the experience exciting and relaxed. If you’re visiting Iceland, snorkeling Silfra is an absolute must — and if you get Nico as your guide, you’re incredibly lucky. Could not recommend this experience more highly!

Nico was our guide and he was FANTASTIC!! We had a medical event happen during the activity and Nico and his team were amazing - taking cate of the individual but allowing the rest of the group to continue. The snorkeling was some of the best I have ever done AND Nico got some awesome underwater pics for us that we will cherish as a wonderful memory of a once in a life time opportunity!!! Getting into the dry suit was a challenge but Nico and his team made it a fun group activity!!! Thanks Nico for making this exceptional tour one of the coolest things I've ever done!

Hernan was very thorough with preparation and in the water. He also very personable, remembering everyone’s names, while sharing a joke or two.

We booked a 12.30 tour. The instructions were perfect and we found the meeting point easily. There are toilets but they are not changing rooms, just wear your long underwear and socks under your clothes. Will was our guide and he made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. It is actually not as cold as we had thought. Will also took pictures which you can download for free!
