What To Expect
The Circus
The Circus is the hub of Basseterre. It is a recognised landmark and a popular meeting place. The Circus owes its origins to the fire that destroyed Basseterre on July 4th, 1867. The whole town east of West Square street was devastated. The inefficiencies of the fire department were, at least in part, responsible for the magnitude of the disaster. When Basseterre was rebuilt, it was decided to make its streets easier for the fire truck to navigate. Among the new arrangements were the widening of Fort Street and the laying down of the Circus.
Berkeley Memorial
The Berkeley Memorial was erected in 1883 and was for a long time the only public memorial commemorating an individual in St. Kitts. It was dedicated to the memory of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a legislator and owner of the estates called Fountain, Greenland, Greenhill, Ottleys, Shadwell and Stone Fort.

3.00Annie was very good about telling us all interesting facts about the island, we made three stop and three small scienic stops, but we never stopped for lunch, VERY disappointed, $190 for a ride around the island was not worth it

5.00It was awesome. She knew the island and imparted that knowledge and love to us. She was funny and charming. We laughed a lot! The restaurant location was changed, however the food served here was amazing. Very tasty. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!!

5.00My sister and I wanted to take a tour to learn about St Kitts. We did not know that were in for an amazing tour. Annie is so knowledgeable about the island and it's history! She will tell you about all the plants and fruits and vegetation that was brought to the island from England and France. We were very impressed on how educational the trip was. We had a great lunch at a very nice spot with amazing views. Annie is a kind and hospitable tour guide. You will not be disappointed!
